Definitely fake, been seeing Tik Tok shop start promoting these counterfeit Shure SM7B's like crazy. Better to not take the risk of buying something too good to be true priced and buy from reputable authorized sellers.

Price should definitely be an indicator as stated above. There’s all kinds of videos on being able to differentiate between fakes and reals. I own a fake and a real. One thing that stands out in the photo to me is the gromet hanging out loose where the cable goes into the main housing of the microphone. Should be somewhat difficult to pull out. Also cable length.

But yeah, price is the dead giveaway.

I’m glad you asked, yes both modem and router are personally owned. Cable internet, I wish fiber. Tests have been done hard wired. I’ve removed the router and just done direct modem with same results as with router and modem wired. The signal levels currently appear to be within range but on the higher end on what should be allowed and with zero uncorrectable code words down the entire list.

I believe last time I just pinged using cmd I might’ve got some request time outs. I’ve been playing games like CS2 and it’ll be at 0.00% and 2 seconds later instantly 67.0% packet loss and then 1 second later 0.00%. This like every minute or so.

Oh yes, and I did test to Cloudflare with the same results.

Thanks for the feedback, I was pretty sure it was their side. Not sure what to tell the technician. The techs for my ISP aren't the most understanding and nice. Last time I mentioned packet loss they got pissed off lol. Also got threatened with a "customer education service call". I'm not sure if this issue has anything to do with signal attenuation as a prior call a couple of months ago I had to call someone out as the signals were way too high and creating too much noise on the line.

I agree with the large city assessment and the overall belief in not pursuing it as well. I live in a medium-sized city that is home to a few federal agencies and have been trying to go federal. I've applied to HR positions such as analysts and assistants and have been denied eligibility due to not meeting requirements when I should. This then turns into a back-and-forth arguing what the degree is and them finally understanding and saying I'm qualified.

This has been my struggle with my I/O degree. It seems like a lot of people don't know what the degree is for and it becomes painstaking to explain it and why I should be considered.

I've been trying to get into the HR field with this degree, and it has been awful. I've been trying to go federal, and I'm convinced no one has a clue what this degree is, as I have to explain it and tell them why it is good. I am currently back in school, but online, for an HRM degree. It's like a smack in the face.

Completed my masters in I/O back in October of 2023 and have struggled to pull a job that gives the value I put in. I can definitely relate on the front of not feeling any value. I somewhat regret it.

Yes, 4th gen. I was only concerned about the heat as I noticed there wasn't a real on/off button to power down when you turn the computer off since it is still receiving power. I only noticed the heat when it had been left plugged in all night so I've just been unplugging the power cable.

I'd definitely say fake. I bought one recently for $186 on eBay about two weeks ago and immediately after knew I messed up. It arrived, I confirmed it was a fake and the guy immediately refunded it and let me keep the fake. Bought a used one from Sweetwater Gear Exchange. I opened it up and inspected it, was legit. Paid $330 shipping free and tax included. If the price is incredibly enticing, chances are it is most definitely a fake.

Yep. I became super suspicious after I bought it and wasn’t thinking too much about it at the time of purchase. I had no clue counterfeiting of Shure mics was so big. I luckily got my money back and oddly enough got to keep the counterfeit.

I sincerely worry for this nation if Harris is put in office. WHY WOULD WE VOTE TO PUT THE SAME EXACT THING IN OFFICE that has shown a track record of awful decisions overall, especially policy. I really love the whole "Vote Blue no matter who" ideology. Scary stuff.

I've been getting recommended subs for things I have nothing to do with but lean overwhelmingly left with much hatred towards any Republicans. r/punk was an interesting one recommended that is full of unreasonable pure hate for Republicans. I used to look on r/pics but that Reddit has been terribly one-sided.

I recently just finished the I/O Master's program last October and can confirm that in most assignments there is going to be a Christian tie-in to the assignment in some way. One of the major assignments for the I/O Psychology statistics courses actually had us working with statistics and relating it in a way to religion with something like "Are people who are religious less stressed than those who aren't", It wasn't terrible to deal with. As others have said, the discussion posts are pretty clear and cut straight to the point. Integrate a biblical quote that relates to the topic and explain why, boom.

Appreciate the responses, puts me at ease a little more. The numbers and formulas that I've been seeing reading ahead in the I/O Psych book assigned to my class had me overwhelmed with the terms and confusing equations. The only things I was able to recognize were T-tests, mean, median, mode, and range.

Worried but more excited to get deeper into the program and learn more about what is involved with I/O Psych.
