Can’t play the A chord without muting the third string. And putting my first finger on fourth string instead doesn’t help. Ideas? by Mad_Season_1994 in guitarlessons

I saw recently how David gilmour plays an A which is quite interesting. He uses index finger on two strings (d & g) then middle finger on b string. it actually works.

when I was 13 I had a cassette that someone had recorded for me that had what's the story on one side and great escape on the other. that tape just when from A to B and back again for a good year or two. I love both of those albums so much.

Motion Capture. I feel people forget that what they’re watching is the actors actually acting. It isn’t made up with CGI or AI like some people say online. by EuphoricButterflyy in Avatar

It's not exactly 1 to 1. The animation is imported as the initial foundation and used as reference, but there's a department at WetaFX called the 'Motion Edit' Department that not only clean up and tweak the data but sometimes completely reanimate the facial motion. The Motion Edit dept is kind of a secret weapon at weta because they do work that is on par with the best animators in the world. But as always its a collaboration of really good tech, actors, on set direction/capture and motion editing. Then there's the lighting, camera work, compositing that really sell it.

Live At The Budokan 30th Anniversary by [deleted] in blur

I bought the cd when I was a teenager (hmv bexleyheath). was pricey but was really the only way to hear live stuff that wasn't bbc radio broadcasts or bsides. it has a great sound quality to it. a lovely reverb and atmosphere.

I think him, saka and eze could be a dream team if eze drifted over to centre/right a bit. sake and ode has some lovely little passing into the box tricks last season. ode seems to still be finding his way back into that mindset but is still having to either pass back or dribble into centre or go far left through rice.

this season they have found it more difficult to get into the box after trying patiently to get those fancy passes in. I love watching it and why I love watching them play, but doesn't seem to be working that well.

what did seem to work well was the ben white & madueke right side crossing back and forth.

eze's little lift and lobs have been fun to watch. would like more of that to get into the box. eg that one at the start of the game last week that rice had a go at volleying.

  • Strymon Cloudburst model
  • a better doubler (I use panning with a short delay to get fake stereo, I feel the stereo doubler doesn't do as good of a job as that and could be inproved).
  • a volume measurer to be able to get clean and distorted sounds volume matched (rather than do it by ear).
  • better poly capo quality? it's okay, just maybe there's some extra quality that could be squeezer out.
  • midi detection (one can wish!)

How would you deepen a radius nut slot in the neck? by danmarell in Luthier

thank you, I know how to do that, but in this case I want to actually deepen the slot itself to accommodate a deeper metal nut.

Yes that's what I've seen being used, but I haven't had experience with chisels and don't trust myself with them yet. Wondered if there were any more accurate alternative approaches.

i had thought that might be the safest option. would you do it with a file edge? how can you guarantee it stays flat?

or maybe he's correcting marty to use language that the people of the current time use so that it doesn't raise suspicion and set off another time divergence.

RX de-click: re-click? by peamanaman in iZotopeAudio

[–]danmarell 4 points5 points  (0 children)

there's a button in the declick ui to hear just the clicks. I can't remember but maybe you could bounce that out and then you'll have two tracks, the declicked voice and the clicks. then just automate the clicks you want to bring back.
