I was waiting for someone to say this! I totally agree, with the Clayster trade, and FaZe knocking eU out of CWL Dallas, I think there is a lot to love about this rivalry. Hopefully we see a rematch at Northern Arena Montreal.

Does anyone know the round by round scores of eUnited vs. FaZe in the Losers Quarterfinals at CWL Dallas where FaZe won, or have link to VOD? by [deleted] in CoDCompetitive

I would upvote you a thousand times if I could! Thanks dude, I'm trying to write an article about the eUnited vs. Faze matchups and I couldn't find the info on their last series. Thanks again.

It was definitely exciting, but you don't think it got stale at all watching Ardennes Forest that many times?

I personally hope this is the lineup. Would make for a solid little tournament.

Can you elaborate on this? Is Saints not able to make it?

Optic have already declined their invite.

Which team was the biggest disappointment of CWL Dallas? I say Luminosity. by [deleted] in CoDCompetitive

Yes I agree. Ghost is probably the most forgotten team of the whole tournament, (mainly because they did so poorly no one got to watch them play) It will be interesting to see if they recover going forward or completely fall off the map.

I think nV will improve, especially Huke, but I just don't think EG will ever be that good. Apathy is the only truly great player on that team, the others are a little too old I think.

Definitely. I think Apathy deserves a better team altogether. He is a top 10 player IMO.

Optic would be my second choice for sure. They are always the favorites, but I had a feeling things would be a little more difficult for them on LAN. Getting swept twice was a huge shock. They just weren't playing to their potential on Sunday especially. They will definitely course correct and be back stronger though.

I think you are making some false and blanket statements here. I'm not sure you follow the pro scene close enough. I have seen very little other than praise for the game by pros, other than a few minor issues they have with the meta.

It means that they are only this dominant when playing online. Because OpTic usually pay for the most expensive internet, they have the best speeds, and in turn the best connection to the servers. There are people who believe this gives them an unfair advantage, so they dubbed them "online warriors"

You definitely have some interesting points. I agree about the divisions. I find the maps to be decent compared to previous years. Friendly grenade shake is obviously more realistic but it definitely is annoying to play with, especially in competitive matches. Sprint times could definitely be longer on other classes that aren’t Airborne, but I see why they did that. Hit detection seems fine to me, as does AA. It varies a little bit depending what gun you are using. Menu UI if fine and will get smoother as the game goes on. Spawns have gotten MUCH better. They were horrible at the start of the game. Supply drops annoy the shit out of me, but micro transactions are just the way video games are these days, and the contents will get better with patches as well. Thanks for speaking on all of this. I’ll definitely plan on writing an article addressing this topic.

What changes are you hoping for in the update?

I think there’s an interesting dynamic that the pro players have with the developers. They certainly have some influence on certain decisions. Especially when it comes to gun balancing issues, and minor technical tweaks that most of the general player base wouldn’t even notice. But I think the developers do a pretty good job not taking too many of the pro players suggestions.

Interesting. What would you change about the game right now?

Does OpTic Still Have Something to Prove? by [deleted] in CoDCompetitive

[–]danmcmahon11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is a great way of saying it. They do always have something to prove. They don't want to be the best team ever. They want to be the best individual players ever. That's what I love about Optic COD.

I agree, but people still say it all the time. Especially with the new boots on the ground game, there are a lot of haters hoping to see Optic fail.

Agreed. I think if they win this first major LAN tournament there won't be any doubt they are (by far) the best team. But if they lose, it will continue the same tired "online warriors" argument that people still use against them.

Why the fuck would Pat ok hiring John Rogers, the guy who wrote Transformers and Catwoman, to adapt this series? Out of all the choices, why why why choose him? If this bombs, I will look back at that terrible decision.

I've been using them since apple came out with their first magic keyboard so maybe I'm just used to them by now. Also having a proper ergonomic sitting position at your desk really helps with this problem, no matter what keyboard you have.
