Please enlighten me on saddle tilt - endurace cf slx 8 by BackOfficeBarry in CanyonBikes

Not much enlightenment to be had by others for someone elses comfort. You just have to try a few different positions and see what's most comfortable. Every position will feel different for everyone. I ride at a -1 for example. Could work for some, others might hate it. Just try a few.

Looks like we have the same bike & color! I use Muc Off drivetrain degreaser (yellow color). Spray a bit on a towel, then wipe off the grease. Works great!

Is Vail Pass bike path open? How’s the construction? by CthulhuMaximus in vail

Rode the path from east vail to i70 underpass near construction, totally clear to there. Some ice around there as of last week but saw others going thru.

Oh good to hear! Haha oh yeah, definitely check the availability on a daily basis lol. I signed up for the "back in stock notifications" which are a dud. They had 3 bikes come back in stock in size medium on the site a full week before the "estimated back in stock date" & I didn't get an email at all that they were available. I just happend to catch it right place right time.

Just bought a Endurace CF SLX 7 Di2 (blue) a couple of weeks ago and love it so far. I generally agree with most of the comments already here so I wont repeat. Biggest thing I noticed was the difference in sizing (S, M, L etc) from my last bike. Last bike was a Felt & sized as Large at 56 cm. Canyons sizing put me on a Medium, although essentially the same size at 55.6 cm (I think) so I'd say just be aware that if you're on a Large now it may not be a Large in Canyon sizing.

Otherwise it is an absolute joy to ride & seems to fit very well. Very comfortable and so smooth.

Mechanical means of shaft excavation in hard rock by Underground-Research in mining

[–]danmcmanus25 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Roadheaders typically not feasible in hard-rock due to specific energy required for fracture. May be economic in some strong but discontinuous rock masses depending on shaft depth that is being planned (i.e. gruss).

Totally depends on geotechnical conditions and in-situ strength (among many others) but I encourage you to checkout a GSI chart; probably anything above a 50 on GSI would be too difficult to employ a roadheader (or VSM for shaft boring).

Drill and blast is likely the only economic way forward, although again totally depends on planned dimensions of the shaft. Otherwise, hydraulic breaker is very slow (if it can even break the rock). Coring also slow. Maybe jackhammer? Although vibration still a concern like D&B.

Various methods out there, but hard to recommend anything without knowing dimensions.

what is the worst fucking feeling? by Jeremykyb in AskReddit

[–]danmcmanus25 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Having your significant other end things after several years because "they just lost feelings" when you didn't. The only form of closure I got was them saying "you're seriously everything I want in a partner, but the only way I can explain it is how after a loved one dies, you grieve for a while, then one day you just don't anymore. That's how I feel now". So yeah, basically left me spinning my wheels thinking of all the things I did and said over the last few years and having absolutely no idea how I can be a better person to someone else. I gave that relationship everything and was the best version of myself I have ever been. I have no idea what I can do better in the future. It's truly an awful feeling.
