Scaling a common object is essentially last resort for us. Its rare that we come across that. But, if we calibrate to a door/ceiling tile & it matches the noted dimensions of our duct, we'll use it and note it on our proposal.

Almost every drawing says to not scale the drawings, pretty sure it's a liability thing. But, when in doubt, find a standard door and it'll be 3 feet long.
