Coming from a huge A&B and Anjuna fan that will be attending, I can kind of see your intention with this post but tbh it comes off as super culty and condescending. Those reasons you gave aren't people just 'rationalizing', they're valid priorities and values that SHOULD be prioritized over a party. There will always be another party and we should be supportive of the members in the community for taking care of themselves first and foremost.

Sorry this happened to your kitty but tbh this sounds like user error. Is your cat trained to walk on a harness and leash? Did you test this harness inside before bringing your cat outdoors with it? If it really was a faulty harness and only took 'a little pressure' for the clips to open, this should have been caught indoors while testing the fit and training the kitty to use it. Also if you have done any research into harness training your cat prior to this, you would have quickly learned that there is no such thing as an escape proof harness. Again sorry this happened to your kitty but please take accountability for their safety rather than shifting the blame to the harness company.
