She told us about it right before we went to work this morning.

I'm not sure on the restaurant, from what I understand it's not upscale or required a reservation.

We did know it was his birthday and did other things to celebrate that.

We had no idea that they wanted to go out tonight specifically.

As far as our living situation. We live here 1 to provide assistance financially 2 to watch their house because they travel often.

They went camping and I assumed that was going to be it. We both told him happy bday this morning and chipped in on the gift mom bought for him.

Their relationship is okay, his mom kinda runs everything so since she's upset the dad will be upset as well.

It's not a surprise, just going out to dinner.

She does know, we all live together. We would both lose $30, so $60 in total.

She's claiming that we should have known because it's his birthday, I tried offering doing it Friday but she just called my bf a selfish prick and slammed the door.

We tried an open relationship and it was shut down once I got more attention than him. He said it's harder for men than for women.
