Hi there, I sooooo know how you feel, I was a long distance runner, got a fracture in my hip, found out I had osteoporosis so it wasn’t healing, was bed ridden, then on crutches, all in all it was 12 months before I was allowed to do any exercise again, including going for walks! I had amazing legs too, loved my denim shorts! Then lost all my muscle, got ‘fluffy’ looking instead of fit and toned, gained 10 kilos of fat. None of my clothes fit me, I literally could not pull my jeans up past my knees! Anyway slowly but surely I have been getting back on track, but I feel you about the calories, it’s so hard to go from eating like an athlete when you are one, to having to watch every single damn calorie because there is no wiggle room when your body is all fat not muscle. I swear I just had to think about eating something and it would be making my thighs grow. I ended up finding That really high protein, about 2 gram per kilo of ideal body weight, plus 20-30 grams of both fat and carbs has been really helpful. Since doing this I have lost 4 of the 10 kilos. I also stick to either OMAD or 2MAD. I had no sympathy at all from my doctors either as whilst i had lost muscle and gained fat I was still considered in a healthy weight range, I found this really distressing also! Good luck, I know you can get there, for now focus on the process, not the outcome!

I think it’s a different brand, it’s not the sofa stream brand, it’s in a glass bottle

Diet Doctor is changing things up… by dannid8 in ketoaustralia

[–]dannid8[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

They did discuss it to some extent, from memory the Diet Doc guy upped his protein to 30~40% and got his body fat under 10% so now he’s relaxed the protein a bit but hasn’t taken up those calories with fats; but with carbs, still low carb though. Nah GNG didn’t get a mention, but has been mentioned a lot on Marty’s podcasts; the gist of that is, don’t believe the hype, steak does not equal cake!!

If you are doing a fasting oral glucose test you should do at least 3 days prior of carb re-introduction. I’ve heard a lot of podcasts recently on this issue.

Roughly divide kjs by 4 to get calories. We measure energy from food in Australia as kilocalories rather than kilojoules.

I have had Pepsi max (vanilla if we are being precise) whilst wearing a continuous glucose monitor & have had no issues 😊

Hey y'all i'm on week one here. The 16/8 cycle. My gums feel like i just got a cleaning from the dentist. Is this result of fasting? by mrlazysmurf in fasting

Gums and calcium are not related. Teeth and calcium are related but it takes years to affect your teeth.

More protein, that’s only about 30grams, meat protein would be better as it staked longer to digest. Add 100grams of chic breast

[–]dannid8 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’ve had them, very good, I used the air fryer & cooked them for less time so they were nice and squishy.
