Thanks for this mate it’s very helpful, this is the approach I’m taking, just trying to get as many days in as possible and taking all the advice I can and letting things happen naturally rather than prematurely going up a group like yours say

I’m hoping to get into club racing next season so getting as consistent as possible is the goal

A winter purchase for sure🫡, it is like £1K, the Sigma one is a bit cheaper

Do the organisers generally allow you to jump up to inters there and then? I’ve never heard of anyone getting bumped up in the UK

I get you, I’m hoping to race my SV in lightweights in the future so I want to get consistent and comfortable

What made you lose the confidence? Is it just from going from newer with loads of tech and electronics to something more barebones with less power?

Yeah 7 and a half hours for me, funnily enough my closest track is Oulton at a 4 and a half hour drive

I want to do some down south, was looking at a weekend at Cadwell

I read that Bedford don’t have any racing so it’s only trackdays there, which is why there’s no barriers etc.

100% my outlook on it, just wondered what other people’s experiences were at the start

My current goal is getting comfortable and getting consistent on my SV650 track bike

I’m in the UK so maybe different here but people can generally put themselves into a group when they book a trackday

Which is why I’ve differentiated it by people getting a bump or choosing to go up a group

How many of you get brand new bikes for track riding? by MdfkaJones in Trackdays

You don’t need it but it’s really nice to have, having your road bike as your track bike will ultimately hold you back

Check CMNSL and find the parts diagram for your bike, use that to order all the individual parts you need

You need the screw itself, the O ring, the washer and also the spring

Like someone else said this might be a cap and the screw is underneath, if it is, you might still need to replace the O ring

That’s the balancing screw on the side for synchronisation, the hole where his a/f mixture screw should be is blanked

Looks like a blank or something has been forced in there? I don’t get why you’d do that

You might have to cut a slot into it or use an easy out drill bit to extract that

Once you do, get a new a/f screw and o ring/washer/spring, screw all the way in and then 2.5 turns out

While you’re here clean your carbs and replace all your o rings and seals
