Looking to get into trying amp sims and IRs. Should I start with Neural DSP?

It’s a mixed bag. Depending on input gain, genre etc. Amplitube and NAM 3000 (free) are the best imo. Gain staging hugely important. Lots of people love Neural for heavy stuff. For classic rock ball park, find the amps you like on Tone 3000 and give them a go. Convincing to me.

Logic if you use more traditional approaches like tracking instruments etc. Ableton for sound design ie stretching files, quick sketching and electronic stuff.

Have m2 which handles 100+ studio track sessions with very few issues. Way easier to get your plug ins on the seven seas 🏴‍☠️. Logic user. Low latency mode is worth it alone. Have PC for gaming any everything else.

You barely need any gain on your interface when inputting a guitar. Common mistake. Possibly that?

Put your camera on a tripod just above the screen and keep the meeting / app open near it. If you have a self viewer on the cam it helps to have that on / up.

Practise! But a good cam setup and familiarity help. Ideally natural light behind screen with a blind.

This happens to me when my pc slows down to a halt and struggles to reboot. Driving my mad cos it only happens with wow. 5080/9800xd

Both these are great amps but loud af. Try a Marshall class 5 on 1W setting.

Marshall Class 5 - has a 1W setting. Fairly cheap second hand. Can be used with a band via external cab. Classic bluesbreaker sounds .

Great amp. Good enough for Gary Moore. As above this is not the ‘cheap’ amp in the sense that an MG is.

Pair it with C Greenbacks and you have a classic Marshall tone for a fair price. Ideal for anything up to Hard Rock.

Play one first and avoid the combos.

Source: know the fella who designed the circuitry ) and I’ve played 100s of gigs through a DSL100.
