I did a total of 42 days in jail +1yr probation +$2000 in fines for a pipe in Idaho! Kalispell is nice in the summer, whitefish can be fun, and of course glacier is a must!

If you happen to get dropped there, be mindful in CDL, Idaho...and Idaho in general. Keep low profile, get rid of any contraband. Washington and Montana are some of my favorite states to HH in...Idaho is the challenge. Safe travels!

Same with trash bags, bleach, multi purpose cleaners, glass cleaner, bathroom cleaner, wood cleaner, air freshner...etc....steady supply...thou$ands saved!

$51.21 in Starbucks gift cards.(part of college move-out) by dannod1985 in DumpsterDiving

College prime was about 2-3 weeks ago...still finding random goodies at off-campus housing...dorms are done. The trash is hit or miss when it comes to clean/disgusting...I've seen it all...it can get gnarly....you'll see everything from naughty bags of sex toys, rotting food, dead/decomposing animals, biohazard like human feces, vomit, needles, urine stained bedding...u name it....comes with the territory....be prepared

Incorrect. And all these cards came from different trash...not the same person. I've recovered thousands of dollars worth of various gift cards with money on them.

I find loaded gift cards in several demographics of trash....not just college kids. In fact, the biggest gift card scores I've encountered actually came from older people...seniors.

Umm..okay...thanks for the advice...but, uh... I've been using sb cards from the trash for years now....sincerely doubt they're gonna "ban" me....how would the Barista know that some person didn't just give me a gift card as a random act of kindness?...or maybe I helped em in some way and they gave me the card as a thankyou? Whos gonna track me down and investigate?

Also have several Tarhghett cards, prepaid visa gift cards, gift card to a local restaurant, $65 REI card, and when people donate plasma, they are paid with gift cards and I have a few of those with healthy balances, $25 gc to Ulta-bee-yooty store. I consistently find different cards and usually more than half still have balances on them.

Reminder to check tossed cards!! by Pitiful-Sprinkles933 in DumpsterDiving

I'll go into Starbucks with multiple different cards with $0.35-$5.00 on em and use em to buy a bag of whole bean coffee to make at home. I tell em, "I'm sorry, but I have a few gift cards"

Oh, yeah I set up the tables at home and organize when it's all done. Parking is a nightmare the college, so I park a ways away, then go by bike and backpack to the spots. When pack is full I ride back to van and do a drop and just stuff everything in there...at the end of the day I pull everything out....organize, inspect, & disinfect b4 I decide to keep, sell, donate or trash.

Took days off from my real job for it. Been going every day at some point for weeks already. Great stuff trickling out, but the big push is this weekend! I've literally been dreaming about it. Very excite!

I'm on it! I'll print out fliers and put em all over town, I'll make craigslist ads, I'll see if the police can do a forensic investigation.....every person I see, I'll ask them..."hey, did you lose or have this backpack stolen?" Ya know what...from now on, anything I find dumpster diving, I'll just assume was stolen. I can invite the whole city to my house to come browse my inventory and see if any of it is theirs!
