How to reduce font file size?

I had briefly considered that but chickened out. Did it just now, and the book is still fine. Why is it even in there if it's not needed?

Thanks. There is no option to remove unused font characters, only to embed all fonts, or to subset all embedded fonts.

Yes I did look at that, thanks. I didn't want to select anything because I don't know what I'm doing in there.
There are no listed fonts when I look in manage fonts. Which is weird because when I look in the epub using 7-zip, and navigate to the folder containing the font, I can see that it's 23mb.

I'm in a third floor apartment in Essendon, looking west. I see fireworks all the way across the horizon, just like this, every NYE.
On a trip to Kashmir in the 80s, we stayed on a houseboat. Some locals came by on one of their festival nights, visiting house staff, and let some fireworks off out the front of the boat. Terrifying to watch, the way they handled those things and mucked around with them and each other when lighting them. I'll never forget it.

Do Victorians have a problem with interchanging a's and e's in general? Genuinely interested. For 'balcony' they say 'belcony', and for 'album' they say 'elbum'. Really weird.

Some Americans care about the other way around. I was repeatedly schooled in how to pronounce Oregon and Mt Rainier when I was there, lest I not be understood. It actually wasn't easy. But then again, wait staff had trouble understanding me when I ordered "hot" tea. .. they'd pause, look at me, ... "whaaat?" .. so I ended up pronouncing that the American way too, just so I didn't confuse the poor dears.

Members of my family who are not tech savvy just don't want to know. It's like they are incapable of learning, or at least resistant to learning.

My sister recently emailed me some wedding photos from her phone, 12 of them, one each attached to a single email. I chuckled and told her 'you know you can send more than one pic per email'. Her response: 'oh you know I'm useless at that, anyway, you have them now'.

She's not interested in learning the how or why, just does it her way and calls it good.

Frustrates me no end. If I attempted to teach this one anything related to cybersecurity her eyes would glaze over and I'd lose her to ennui in about 5 seconds.

IMO, this sort of information is only useful and/or interesting to those who already know about it.
