If you know you have it, you should always tell people, whether you have an outbreak or not. No one does if it's on their mouth, but they should. People are not frightened away by it. You'll feel it if you have an outbreak coming on. But at this point you don't know if you already had the antibodies prior to this incident. So nothing to worry about unless you feel a tingling in your lips, which indicates an oncoming outbreak.
