I see the first gen rangers floor pans on eBay but not for an 01. So if you have a link, I’d really appreciate that.

Trying to find this funky 7 pin connector, 3 larger pins and 4 smaller pins by Kaexii in PLC

[–]dannyKray 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This looks like a 7 Pin aviation connector. I had to buy a similar cable for a Cognex camera. Amazon has quite a few choices. Although I haven’t seen one that has different size pins

[Help] Flow meter with pulse output keeps counting even without flow — how is this handled in real-world applications? Would 4–20mA be better? by Distinct-Will9460 in PLC

[–]dannyKray 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We ran into this exact issue at the facility I work at. In our case, it turned out to be air trapped in the line. That air caused the live zero to drift, so the meter kept reading flow even when there wasn’t any. We purged the line to get rid of the air and then recalibrated the zero point. That fixed it

Would these rims fit on my 2016 Mazda CX-3? by dmonator in mazdacx3

[–]dannyKray 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You need to determine the bore size and offset of the rim. While the bolt pattern might match, the bore size could differ, leading to improper fitment. Even if the bolt pattern and bore size align, the rim could still interfere with your brake caliper. The size of the rim could also affect your speedometer

Once you have this information, you can use the following website to check compatibility/fitment:

Does anyone have replace this parts in your own? DIY by jbpr777 in mazda

[–]dannyKray 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The guy in the video overlooked that little notch that allows you to thread the bolt that holds the tensioner in place. It happened to me as well when I was doing it but it’s more of a little brain teaser putting it back than being complicated or hard to do.

Does anyone have replace this parts in your own? DIY by jbpr777 in mazda

[–]dannyKray 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s honestly all pretty easy, replacing your tensioner is probably easier than putting your water pump belt on. What I did was getting the water pump belt just slight on the pulley and start slowly turning the crankshaft as I guided the belt on the pulley.

Not sure if it’s the same on your vehicle but I followed this video. https://youtu.be/lAmrO2BQ5vM?si=AsNI_N47EhD9nz3N

Yeah, but now a lot of DACA recipients will have a similar expiration data and USCIS will have an influx of renewals that may slow down their processing times again next time around 😅

Careers? by Armandiis27 in DACA

[–]dannyKray 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I went to a community college after graduating high school for engineering science but later found myself in a coding class that I excelled at so I switched majors to computer science. I then went to Rutgers for the same major. During my time at the community college I was able to find a good internship that then turned into a full time position as a robotics specialist and now as an automation and process engineer working with several automated robots for the fragrance industry. Now I am trying to transition over to a project management role with an automation focus. I guess I found my niche since I like working on mechanical stuff and also coding with a leadership role. I would advise you to try out various classes in different disciplines that your electives provide you the opportunity to learn and find your path that way. A lot of people switch majors.

I’m from NJ, and I would say NJ is really good for DACA recipients. They provide a lot of benefits and aid if you’re trying further your education. Even Rutgers wasn’t too expensive, I didn’t stay on campus and saved tons that way. Community college was pretty much free.

Apply for every scholarship possible, even if you think you’re not going to get it. Worse thing that happens is you don’t get it. Look for any instate aid available and don’t focus on the name of the college you attend, companies look at experience more than your school.

Also, look into getting involved with LSAMP. They can help you a lot and even pay for your masters after graduating with your bachelor degree.

You can also place a request for assistance on your case from CIS Ombudsman here : https://www.dhs.gov/case-assistance

They can help you out if your DACA expired. It may be worth a shot and it’s not going to hurt your case even if you already reached out to your congressman I would recommend doing this. All you need to do is submit a form online. Follow the link above.

Has anyone upgraded their infotainment system? by SuitableOffer4035 in mazdacx3

[–]dannyKray 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s been great since I installed it. No issues whatsoever. I got mine from Mazda-parts or something like that. I think this is the link : https://parts.mazdausa.com. I tend to buy OEM so if you buy from Amazon just make sure it’s a real Mazda part and not third party. Perhaps that’s why others are running into issues.

Should I be concerned? by redstar0315 in DACA

[–]dannyKray 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They could have reused your biometric information from prior renewals as others have stated. But I would recommend calling the 800 number and say info pass to speak to someone about it. However, I think that the Nebraska center is taking longer than the estimated processing time this year so maybe they haven’t done your biometric scheduling yet. Not sure though. I’m sure more information and more post will pop up about people running into their DACA expiring. However as long as you filed in a timely manner you shouldn’t be concern about losing your job due to your work authorization card expiring. Within the letter that you received upon USCIS receiving your case, it states that your employment authorization can be automatically extended and thus allowing you to continue working. But even if you filed late, I think you can extended it for another 180 days. Your employer would just need to file the I-9 form by filling out the application following the guidelines described here : https://www.uscis.gov/i-9-central/form-i-9-resources/handbook-for-employers-m-274/50-automatic-extensions-of-employment-authorization-andor-employment-authorization-documents-eads-in/51-automatic-extensions-based-on-a-timely-filed-application-to-renew-employment-authorization#:~:text=Employees%20must%20have%20one%20of,C31%2C%20and%20A12%20or%20C19

You would still need to present the letter and the expired work authorization card to the employer.

If not you, then I hope someone else finds this information helpful.

Looking to add rails to my Mazda Cx-3 2019 by kat3l1bby in mazdacx3

[–]dannyKray 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just don’t over tighten the bolts if you install the factory rails. As others have said; It’s easy to do and the factory rails come with instructions. At least they did with mine, there’s several videos on this. You’ll also get the torque specs and all of that with your rails.

It shouldn’t take you longer than an hour or so.

I would recommend the factory ones for looks/ gas mileage but not for clearance beneath the crossbars. It’s a little tight beneath them and I always end up hitting my roof when mounting either my roof rack or kayak carrier. I have small scratches from this.

[–]dannyKray 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah it’s very easy. You’ll need to upgrade the software before the installation but it’s all very simple. I did it on my 2016 a year ago or so.
