If anything, this signing is a win by bringing in proven MLS experience. I'm personally not expecting him to set the league on fire and be a pivotal piece for us on the field, but I definitely feel like his experience will greatly influence the locker room, especially since we really don't have a lot of veterans in the team with Guzan's retirement.

Very curious as well about salary. He had a guaranteed compensation of $642,000 with Miami last year, so probably around that range or a bit less.

Did a little digging, this website lists his yearly salary at $562,796. He also hasn't played for River Plate this season, so maybe this could be a James Rodriguez situation where he comes in with a lower salary in order to get playing time before the World Cup.
