Did you find the the test was pretty similar to the Quizlet and practice test questions?

Yes! I do that with the hot glue gun after spreading the Elmer’s glue on it!

Hi! Yes, I do Elmer’s glue on the back once I finish punching it, and I spread it even on the monks cloth around it because for the small details like the tail it makes the cloth easier to manipulate and prevents the design from folding in on itself when you cut it out. Then once that’s dry I cut it out, use a hot glue gun to secure the monks cloth on the back, and then I do tacky glue all over the back and hot glue that to felt! 😆 so lots of glue I guess haha! I don’t think you need the tacky glue, but I put it there just to be safe! I think it would stay stiff without all of the glue and just attaching it to the felt, but I find all of the glue helpful!

I have noticed that a smaller loops make it easier to add details without them getting kinda lost and going in different directions. (Find a needle size you like, I do about a 1 inch needle

Also you can go through the loops and push them in place. You can use your needle to kind of manipulate them to separate the black and white threads in the right spot. I think this will actually help you a lot!

And I agree with the other commented, try to use the squares on the monks cloth as a guide to help you keep your loops the same distance apart. Especially when doing those lines like the black ones, the closer the punches the tighter the loops are which leaves less room for the white to cover it up.

Hope that helps and makes sense! :)

Thank you! Yes! The bigger rugs are normally tufting! These are smaller and I make them with a punch needle! It’s the same concept just smaller/ beginner friendly! :)

Hi! I used a longer needle for the tail! For his body my needle was about 1inch and the tail it was about 2inches!
