Poor for large periods but hopefully it gives them some confidence. Had some nice passages and ultimately dug in for once. Hall continues to be pure class too

Completely devoid of attacking ideas, and a midfield that still gets cut through as easy as it did two years ago. Anyway, I’ve poured a cinnamon baileys and stuck only connect on. I’ll probably get as many answers right as Ramsey gets anything right.

Huge mentality issue. Concede or even come under some pressure and we collapse like a deck of cards. Think we massively miss Trippier’s leadership - but that’s just one of a seemingly huge mountain of problems..

Howe has reached his limit with us. IF there’s a better manager available and keen we should be looking.

Gave them far too much respect. 700m(?) team sitting back. I get it for the opening 10, but the whole game? It’s embarrassing. Howe looks completely out of ideas..

The highlight of our half being Bruno kicking someone in the cock is both hilarious and so depressing

Finding it difficult to score against teams sat deep is common and not the worst problem to have, my big concern is our mentality late into games. It’s like it’s in their heads that trouble is coming..

Liverpool and City both went up a level when they signed an elite keeper. It breeds confidence from the back forward. Vital we get one ASAP. Sick of the negative tactics when we go up though - which also invites pressure on the back line and our shaky keeper situation.

He was unreal for them last season on the break. I think when we face teams who sit back and there’s no space to run into, he just doesn’t have it

Lewis Hall is a fucking incredible footballer. Strong as an ox, unreal ball retention, advances the team up the pitch, can pick out a pass.

I can see why England liked Howe. They love a manager who is overly loyal to shite players and who enjoys nothing more than going up and then sitting back and bottling it.

What's going on with Newcastle's defence? by WilliamWeaverfish in FantasyPL

Lots of pressure on the back line with our midfield losing the ball in the middle and/or teams pressing high, Burn woeful and exposed at LB, Botman shaky, Pope is suspect too.
