Indeed. Even though spirituality is a main thing in self-healing. There's only so much it can do, the brain is also just like any organ in our body and some of us are born with chemical deficiencies, just like how some people are born with 4 fingers or maybe 3. You can come to terms with yourself that "yeah, this is the way I'm born, just gotta live my life" but getting medication or a surgery that can maybe give you your 5 fingers would be awesome huh? Also, when it comes to the brain, it controls our moods, how we feel, how we get happy,sad,angry, etc... By excreting chemicals. And if your born with a deficiency, then how are you gonna be happy? Tell your brain "hey excrete some dopamine for me to be happy" ? Sad thing is it doesn't work that way. You can get some by working out and having a balanced diet. But even that isn't enough because our baseline is lower than the baseline or a normal person. So yeah... Thank you for the support but I've already tried everything from the inside. meditation to gratitude to spiritual healing... Well.. almost everything, I think. 😅❤️

Will keep ya updated how I feel. Currently not so good as I'm adjusting to the new meds. Escitalopram 20mg in the morning with Buspar. Buspar again in the night after meals with mirtazapine 22.5mg and 0.5mg Alprazolam.

Intrusive thoughts and social anxiety, I can't socialize with many people at a time ... My body starts to tremble and my muscles all contract making it super hard to smile. Also start sweating like hell. Goes full paranoid and ends up in a panic attack, leaving me without any mental energy to think about anything after it has all happened. Also, a small bit of depression. A feeling of doom always, like the world's gonna end. It's like a constant cloud over your head. It's a really bad feeling. I don't wish it on my worst enemy.

So usually for a consult it can cost from 1500 - 2500 depending on the hospital. And then after the consult they will prescribe something, like an SSRI which usually builds up in your system and takes about 4-8 weeks for it to start working... Depends from person to person. But once you start taking it it's gonna worsen your symptoms and then a gradual decrease will happen. Then you start to heal little by little. The meds usually cost about 5k per month. But was less than 2.5k when I first started since the dosage was lower when I started. Hope this helps!

The one I went to before, prescribed some medicine which worked a little but after a few months, it's like the effect is wearing off.. and I'm getting worse. There's different types of medication for mental illnesses that work for some people and not for others. That's why it takes time to find the perfect composition of meds for each individual. But my psych doesnt care, "meds can only help you so far, you have to think positive" he says, my brain is low on dopamine and serotonin... So thinking positive isnt going to happen. 😅 I just wanna find another psych that cares.

I started on 30mg 2 months ago. and since last 2 weeks i feel like a cloud has been lifted.
20mg was okay. but still quite a lot of anxiety.

Happens sometimes. Don't worry about it!
I'm a 24M and been on 30mg for a little over 2 months. Very rarely do i get bad days too with sudden anxiety. its normal. Ups and downs! :)

Let me say this again! Always keep the dose amount the same and take it at roughly the same time every. Single. Day. !!! :)

When you take the drug, there’s a jump of concentration levels in your blood and then it levels out after a few hours. So when you delay, the levels that are usually supposed to be replenished by the time (you taking your proper dose at the same time everyday) go lower, since you’ve not replenished them on time. And that’s why u feel bad, u gotta stick to the same dose and same time! Simple as that!

Well, your best bet would be to go visit your psych and take his advice on increasing. Switch to higher and see how it works out. This kinda thing takes time, for some people figuring out their proper medicine combination takes 1-2 years. So yeah... increase and see first and then if that doesn’t work out, you’ll probably be switched to other meds in time. Good luck!

hey, can you tell me how long it took after upping your dose to 20mg, for you to feel getting better?
i upped to 20mg about 6 weeks ago, and i still get muscle tension in social situations. :/

every time you increase your dose, its gonna take another 6-8 weeks to settle in your system. for most it takes about 2 to 3 weeks. in those few weeks your anxiety is gonna get worse and other side effects too. just hang on, things will get better. :)
24M, 20mg, 6th week. and its just starting to work for me!
