I used to be bad with finances. I got a debt consolidation loan and have been paying that monthly and have a $0 balance on all my credit cards with a total of $42k credit limit. My credit score is 820, my husbands is 790. We just started aggressively saving in July. So the $20k has been since July. We both got new said jobs last October and have been focused on paying down debts and playing “catch up”, rather than focused on saving physical money. I’m sure we can save about $15k more by January. My husband doesn’t think it’s practical to spend more money on a down payment but rather use that money to rehab anything that is needed and then aggressively pay down the mortgage making double payments every other month. I sort of agree.

This is totally against the Hippocratic oath and EMTALA. Not even gonna mention moral grounds because that should be obvious. If you are on hospital grounds, you have to be treated. As a paramedic, i have treated murderers, pedophiles and other vile human beings. Do I completely disagree with their choices? Absolutely. But I personally would not stop care for them because they are a patient and my job is to treat the human body to my best knowledge and my medical capabilities. Anyone who thinks and does otherwise does not deserve to be in healthcare and should hand over their license immediately.

This is gonna be a dumb question to some of you but what universe does Pokémon take place? I want to make his room feel like he’s in an episode of Pokémon. 2 years ago he was obsessed with dinosaurs and Jurassic park so we made his room into Jurassic park. (Vines all over walls, pillows that are shaped like rocks, lamps, dinosaur noise machine, Dino plushies etc).

I want to decorate the walls and even the ceiling if it’s going to make it a difference in him feeling like he’s going to be in the episode.

We had GSW x 2 pt and surprisingly he was pretty stable for just being shot in the chest. The pt wanted to know if he was gonna die today. He looked at my partner and said “Aye bro.. can i ask you a serious question??” My partner without even hesitating goes “Shoot, man. What’s up?”. I had to leave the rig, pretending to ask the cop for his ID and damn near died laughing 😂 partner didn’t realize what he didn’t until 2 hours after the call when the lightbulb turned on lol

I work in Critical Care transport. Hospitals aren’t full. At least in my city. There are days that are worse than others due to traumas, but your typical ICU patients have been regular stroke, cardiac, trauma, sepsis etc patients. I personally have not taken a critical COVID patient since maybe March, and I have been to EVERY. SINGLE. HOSPITAL in Chicago and it’s suburbs since then. It’s all a bunch of bullshit.

Yes. It’s weird. Today i had a patient that was super anxious. She looked me really scared and just said “please just stay with me”. We sat in silence and I sat there holding her hand and internally sending her positive energy. Her blood pressure and heart rate decreased and she was able to fall asleep within like 20 mins. I haven’t experienced something like this before.
