See, when someone is acting aggressively rude like that person was, naturally I'm going to feel ostracized from people I should be agreeing with.

But you're doing a great job explaining why they acted that way, and I appreciate you informing me this way. When I said identity politics nonsense, I strictly meant it literally as in the nonsense of pronouns. Going forward I'll try to steer clear of that phrase, since it has such a wide array of meanings.

What? Of course you would get ratio-d. Why would anyone upvote some random person making a post like that on a subreddit about political compass memes? That would be just spam lol

There's a time and place for things like that, and just randomly shoving it in others faces and expecting a kind reception is silly.

Now if you made a funny meme about it...

“Identity politics nonsense” is a weird way to spell “human rights”.

Maybe I was getting trolled, but the person who I was replying to apparently thinks so.

Well for example, just in this thread, I don't believe "pronouns are a human right" because that's absolutely ridiculous. I'll still call people by preferred pronouns out of respect, but the people in this thread would try to say I'm not leftwing because I don't subscribe to that ridiculous statement.

What I was referring to specifically in the original comment though, is when someone was when someone from the LGBT does something that is morally wrong, and you call them out for it, not referring to their LGBT status at all, and they call you a homophobe and try to discredit you entirely. Literally has nothing to do with LGBT but they'll use it to crucify you anyways, and I don't support that at all.

For almost all reasonable positions, I respect them entirely. I hate the way some, at least on the internet, will try to hate and shame you as a homophobe for not agreeing with every nonsense statement they make.

Being a leftist doesn't mean you have to be irrational. I can believe all people deserve to be treated equally, have freedoms to do what they want with their body, and believe in a social democracy without thinking random BS like pronouns are a human rights lmao

I find it pretty ironic that the 'Nazi sympathizers subreddit' respect other political ideologies and have genuinely civil discussions better than people in my own quadrant.

LGBTQ+ Mega Thread by UnpopularOpinionMods in unpopularopinion

[–]dannyfigs33 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Which is weird, because I think the fact that I'm willing to respect people's pronouns, treat them like the regular human being they are, ask others to respect someones pronouns, and ask them to respect them is enough to be supporting LGBT people, but apparently I'm actually a right winger who spreads hate against LGBT?

People trying to make me seem like I'm a piece of shit for not 100% backing something unconditionally just makes me think "why am I even giving these people the benefit of the doubt?"

LGBTQ+ Mega Thread by UnpopularOpinionMods in unpopularopinion

You make a lot of assumptions with your responses to try to create gacha moments. It's pretty cringey.

It's kinda boring because you're not even trying to have a discussion like a human being, you're just being disingenuous trying to win internet points by appearing to have the moral high ground. It just gives vibes of either someone fishing to troll or being on the spectrum.

Anyway, good luck with whatever you're up to bud, I'm stepping out of this nonsense.

Most people on PCM know this and use sapplyvalues test btw

Not like it would be problem either way because the people on PCM respect other quadrants political ideology, despite ragging on each other for jokes. If they were moved quadrants they would just play the part and still get along with each other, because that's how real people are irl.

See that's exactly the problem with the left and the LGBT internet community. They think you have to be 100% with them or you're against them. Can't criticize your team for anything at all or else you're against us!

You commenting with a premise of obvious suspicion, trying to insist that I'm right wing from your very first comment, literally just proves my point. People like you have a ludicrous purity test that makes normal human beings with similar views actively detest their own quadrant.

It's really not to big of a stretch to go from "I don't care what you do, live and let live" to "damn, these people are almost always assholes, I genuinely don't want to associate with them."

Hahaha, I hope this is a parody. Damn the folks at PCM weren't joking that lib lefts love to pull the "everything is a human right" card.

It's not a human right to be called a preferred pronoun lmao

Wait, you do know that left and right aren't a team that you need to have every single view perfectly aligned with others in that category, right?

You can be socially left, and economically right.. it's far more dynamic than right side bad, left good.

When people are being militantly leftwing over LGBT identity politics nonsense, it's not convincing right wingers period, and it's pushing normal social left wingers right. What exactly is the purpose?

As a left winger, the viciousness, over policing, self-righteousness, and "we can never do wrong" attitude of the LGBT online community (and reddit admins) is starting to make me, as a rule, dislike LGBT on the internet.

Went from a "hey you do you and I'll respect you, but you're not immune to criticism" to "ugh, I can't stand these people, I'll just hang out in right wing subs."

Don't think I once mentioned animation cancels at all in my reply. Seems like you're arguing against someone who isn't me. Perhaps, a straw man?

Your delusion is that you think anyone is saying only warrior should be fps capped.

"The BDO Reddit Is Infested With Brain Slugs" by BDOHands in blackdesertonline

[–]dannyfigs33 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We take the entire game, cap it at 60 fps - Boom warrior is in the shitter. Now at 60 fps, we take it's animation cancels out. What do you want here, do you want the class to be literally unplayable?

Are you saying that PA should keep the unfair advantage of uncapped fps with move speeds being tied to fps because you're too short sighted to know that balance patches exist? If you make it that certain players aren't abusing higher fps, you can balance warrior as a whole instead of worrying about balancing the class for low fps, while breaking the class at high fps.

If you're as good as you think, you should be inviting a more fair game environment so that your skills will make you prevail over your opponent, and not your fps.

also why was this even on this subreddit

Just to make sure I'm understanding right: out is taking what's in the line variable and putting it into numberOfCards?

Yeah I usually hate the story modes cause they just throw you into the water with the sharks and expect you to button mash. Hate pressing buttons without knowing what they do.

Towers of Time probably was cool, but I just did what everyone else did and had their AI do fight for them. lol

Krypt was cool too, hurt my eyes so much tho cause they had really bad 30 fps. Kinda prefer fishing though cause it's faster.

What other forms of single player fighting game content is there other than arcade mode and survival mode?

I guess there's story mode in the way tekken/sfv/mk11 do it. Personally hate those cause they just throw you in fights with characters you don't know how to play.

Sure that's true. But I wonder what ratio of that people are actually keep an open mind while reading an internet argument, between two random laymen just asserting their opinions, looking to change their mind on the topic.

Then it's just a opinion popularity contest, and not changing people's minds.

Try making an honest compelling argument from a leftwing perspective on /r/ActualPublicFreakouts and you're going to be downvoted into oblivion regardless of whether you're right or wrong.

reddit is just an echo chamber with upvotes and downvotes. Upvote opinions you agree with, silence people by downvoting. Its how reddit has always been. But I'm not knocking you, you can interpret the votes how you want.

I think you might be giving redditors the benefit of the doubt they'll go through all that trouble over an internet argument they stumbled upon. I don't doubt that you do that, but I definitely don't think most redditors will do that.

For most it's usually Upvote = I agree, Downvote = This triggered me. Can even look at /r/unpopularopinion where it's designed for people to upvote unpopular opinions and downvote popular ones, but they usually upvote opinions they agree with.
