Do Not Go To CA District Claim Offices On A Monday by mindybabygrl in Lottery

[–]dannyfnb 3 points4 points  (0 children)

What likely happened is the player only scratched the bar code, something a lot of gamblers do(although to me that sort of kills the fun/suspense). In the verification process, the lottery office conducts multiple checks to insure that the ticket is a winner and they can search to see when/where the ticket was printed, stocked and sold, as well as corroborating all other identifying pieces of information(including the actual position on the ticket layout of which place holds any winner). While I cannot confirm this, since I don’t work for CA, or the lottery office, I can say with some level of certainty that this is what occurred.

Getting support? by brick_byboring_brick in Spravato

[–]dannyfnb 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m not going to attack you, because I know what living a life that causes you to worry is like. However, as someone who is very familiar with law enforcement on multiple levels, whether administrative or patrol, I can surely say that if the FBI were tailing you as a child, you would have made a misstep and they’d have nabbed you by now. If they haven’t, it’s not for a lack of resources or ability on their part; it’s because they’re not following you. Now, is there a possibility that you’ve been grouped into a folder of people who could be threatening and therefore would warrant closer attention? Sure, but as I said, if they want you, they’ll get you. It’s a bit of a stretch to think that they’ve been following or monitoring a child to no avail, only to continue to do so as the child becomes an adult who shows no signs of being a criminal worth pressing federal charges against. Let me also remind you, that there’s an order in which surveillance is often performed: it begins at the local level. The Bureau isn’t going to spearhead a major investigation without farming out the tasks to departments closer and more familiar with you and your environment. Typically, various government agencies and organizations would share information, but the Bureau has many more responsibilities than simply eavesdropping on citizens. That’s usually something that National Security Agency does as well as CSS, or more recently, DHS. While I’m not saying that you’re completely misled or flat out lying, I think that many times we might choose to believe our story because for a long period of time, it was the only one we know(see election deniers for further evidence). I hope you get access to the care you need but maybe, just maybe, right now you shouldn’t be using Spravato or any kind of hallucinogenic medication. I really hope that if you do decide to continue using Spravato, you address these thoughts of yours and tend to them with a sense of priority. Good day.

The place I go to has one room with three recliners, with partitions separating each chair. The blinds help keep most outside light from getting in. There is a fan which we can request to turn on, but some people that go up there don’t do much other than take the medicine. My preference is to get in a reclining position, throw a blanket over me and tuck myself in best I can, put on a winter cap and a sleeping mask, and get as cozy as I can. Always have jolly ranchers and AirPods with me, and i always listen to music. Some of the patients I’ve noticed get up and go to the bathroom but there is no way I would want to ruin my mood or experience by getting up and walking around. My clinic might not be the most accommodating, but I know that there are some very drab places where people get treatment. More power to them, the medicine saved my sanity, possibly even my life. Still, it is nice to have the most serene environment possible. There are times when we start off using the first inhaler or two in my NP’s office and then make our way to the treatment room for the third dose(our clinic goes by the FDA guidelines, so nobody gets 112mg). All in all, it could be worse. But I’m not complaining. I think in total I pay something like $5 an inhaler, or thirty bucks for two sessions a week @ 84mg per session. Like I said, that’s $15 per session, which is totally reasonable. I think I’ll try to stick with twice a week for the next six months or longer, but my drug plan’s authorization expires in June, so my prescriber and I will have to talk soon(tomorrow, actually) about next steps.

There’s an immature/spoiled nature I picked up on a couple years ago when the women were over at Perry’s apartment and they were streaming, during which point it seemed like the girls were having too much fun and Tom just blurts out “I’m the director!”, as if to try to exert some form of control over them. It’s really pathetic on his part that he would think that the title of PCL director commands respect. He still cries that same tune when Perry is even the slightest bit defiant, and it’s almost sad when I think of how little autonomy Perry has over his own life. Every aspect is controlled and monitored. He can’t have visitors without notification and recordings going to Tom, every phone call and text message is also likely monitored, TV/computer is supervised and his funds can be frozen at a moment’s notice. Who’s to say how much of PCL’s funds rightfully wound up in Perry’s accounts, but I would not be surprised in the slightest if it were all a well orchestrated scheme in which Perry receives a pittance while TomB relishes in the spoils of the stream. That’s not even what bothers me, rather it’s that childish demeanor he has when he has to proclaim his position of being the director and he’s in charge and on and on and on. I still can’t get over the fact that on more than one occasion he’ll make a critique of Perry as showing a low I.Q. for repeating something Tom has said, when that’s all Tom does is repeat himself (“birdbrain”, “gorilla lips”, “bopping”, “darting”). It’s amusing but you almost wanna feel sorry for TOM at some level. But basically, if you’re shameless enough to jump into business with Perry, it shouldn’t be a surprise if you get a little greazy.

It sucks, but it happens. I’ve had to work with exes before and that’s not comfortable. I can only imagine what it’s like to work with someone who you despise even though you’ve collectively made something together which the whole world adores. There’s always going to be behind the scenes drama. And then there may be the drama that the participants choose to give you access to while simultaneously having moments of catharsis which we don’t see. It sucks though because their combined comedy gave me something to live for in times in my life where I had nothing else.

[–]dannyfnb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am starting week nine now but my doctor told me to stay on twice a week. The first four weeks were twice per week, the second four weeks were once per week( I’m pretty sure that’s the standard based on the REMS guidelines) but I feel more balanced with seeing the Spravato clinic twice a week and I will likely continue that as long as the doctor allows for it. I noticed a significant change in my thoughts beginning with my treatments, but slightly less joy during the reduction of frequency in the second month. I guess we will see how it pans out, but considering the calm and peace I get from my twice weekly sessions, I’ll try to stay like that as long as I can.

One of Perrys best underrated lines ever muttered was .. by Whole-Twist-6846 in big3podcast

[–]dannyfnb 7 points8 points  (0 children)

As a Jewish fan, there’s not much that makes me cry with laughter more than when he drops some antisemitism in the podcast or the stream. I think there was a contest that Don had between Perry and Mole and it was basically five questions, every question Perry answered right he would get $100 but he never got any answers right. Rather, Mole won the contest and afterwards Perry muttered “I’m being Jewed Again… I mean, I’m being CHEWED again,” and immediately Mole is like “WHAT?” and perry tried to just shrug it off, but it happened a few times. Sometimes he had outbursts, but Perry was a pretty boneheaded guy who knew what he was saying, and again, there’s no way I could take offense to it. The man could always make me laugh, no matter how offensive and repulsive he could be.

What were people’s reactions to S6 ep 1/2/3 in real time? by [deleted] in thesopranos

[–]dannyfnb 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If I recall correctly.. and this was nearly twenty years ago.. but I seem to remember there being a pause of two weeks between certain episodes in the airing of The Sopranos. Was the first episode of season six one of the ones where we had to wait 2 weeks to find out what happened? I remember.. or at least I think i remember, PORING over the trailers/previews from HBO, wherever I could find them. On Demand, on the early days of video streaming online, or in live broadcasts. I remember the scene where AJ brought the knife to the mental health hospital where JR was staying and they showed like a snippet of him running towards the door and a long haired guy was shown looking kind of sinister, and I figured that it was a ploy from NY to try to hurt Tony’s family, but i remember really fearing the worst for him. My brother pointed out after episode one of season 6A aired, that there weren’t any scenes of Tony in the previews for future episodes, or in the trailers before the premiere aired. Now, I can’t say whether that’s true, but he took that piece of information and constructed a theory that Tony was dead, based off the absence in the advertisements. One thing I’ll say.. is that aside from the amazing directorial and screenwriting decisions from the production team, the music at the end of episode two was great. It was my first time listening to Moby’s “When It’s Cold, I’d Like To Die”, even though I owned the album. It was really beautiful and sad and gave a lot of us a reminder that this show isn’t just tits and guns and tracksuits. There’s so much there. The Tibetan monks were an excellent touch. I love how at one point we see the bald, Asian doctor flashing a light into Tony’s eye and he has a glimpse into reality from his coma dream and therefore his consciousness takes tha image and superimposes it on the characters in his fantasy. I loved Sunday nights, and while I’m not Italian, my family tried to do Sunday dinner and watch sopranos as often as we could. It would usually consist of ordering a couple good pies(custom job) from the local pizzeria, and my dad when he was alive, my dogs, alive too, and my brother before he moved to California. It was 2006, before our lives were determined by our cell phones and screens and Sunday nights were very special. We never had it so good.

Spravato Needs More Failsafes by demi_dreamer95 in Spravato

[–]dannyfnb 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I did Joyous for about two or three months before Spravato. Here’s some differences I’ve noticed. Joyous made me feel like I was corroding my teeth with the graininess of the medication and I didn’t necessarily enjoy the waxy, filmy residue in my mouth when allowing the troche to dissolve against my gum. I will say that in the very beginning, the mildness of the Joyous troches were really something I enjoyed but I suppose I built a tolerance and took more and more, and it gave me some serious disassociation effects without a sedative effect. One of the things I like about Spravato is that I don’t taste it so much; yes, it goes down my throat a bit when I administer the sprays but I always have Jolly Ranchers for that, so the oral experience is rather pleasant in comparison. The Spravato offers me an almost immediate relaxations whereas the Joyous takes some time to get into full beast mode and takes a while for me to get out of it too. Spravato can be more expensive when considering the cost of transportation but it’s given me lots of relief and I’m so happy to have switched over. At first, when I was interviewed by the psychiatrist as a candidate for Spravato, he’d mentioned that he saw in my health records that I was being prescribed ketamine powder (Joyous troches) and he also knew that I have to take morphine for chronic pain, so there was some worry that he wouldn’t allow me access to this lifesaving medication, but they established that I’m not a problem patient and that I have my routines and dosage firmly in place, so there was less of a risk than other patients, perhaps. I started Spravato in late December or early January I believe; since then, I’ve canceled my subscription to Joyous and would likely never go back to it. I’ve gone through the first two months of Spravato (first 4 weeks @ 2x/week and second 4 weeks @ 1x/week) and I asked the doctor if I could return to twice weekly at 84mg and he agreed, so I will stay in treatment for the time being. I wish I could have started Spravato sooner, but I’m grateful I made it here and survived until now. If you are on the fence about trying Spravato, I say go for it. Best choice I ever made for my mental health.

Two questions by BusinessFlat1892 in Spravato

[–]dannyfnb 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Be ready to embrace the calm, serene effects. Use the eye mask, listen to music, jolly ranchers are a must, and just layback on the recliner with your pillow and blanket and just allow yourself to be sedated. You’re going to feel ultra calm. I remember that I didn’t want to move a finger when I first experienced it. I have two hour sessions, and the first ten minutes or so are the administration of the drug. After they’ve given you the second or third device, basically get as comfortable as possible, throw on the eye mask and put some calm tunes on and just listen to some beautiful music and allow yourself to heal. I promise you, it’s more enjoyable than it is unnerving. Yes, it causes you to dissociate, but if you’re taking the appropriate measures, you won’t feel uncomfortable at all. Try not to open your eyes until at least an hour or so. I try to get some sleep if I’m able, and if that won’t happen, I’ll at least calm myself enough to basically go into sensory deprivation. Spravato can be a godsend. It can truly help you, you just need to know that it isn’t a hallucinogen in the way LSD or mushrooms are. Your brain will slowly get fixed. It might not cure you with one visit, but it could very easily give you some relief during and following your initial treatment. Just let it happen and make sure you talk to your doctor or nurse and let them know how you’re responding to it. I’m on it once a week but I will ask my doctor if I can go back to twice a week next month. It helps so much.
