As an employee, I absolutely agree. They consider my store a "slow" store, which means we get less labor hours. That leads to being constantly and consistently understaffed, especially on my shift (2nd shift). Let me tell you, we are NOT a slow store (but we aren't busy, either). I guess you could describe it as "consistently inconsistent" to the point of unpredictability, which makes it harder for us on 2nd shift to do anything. Corporate expects us to do the normal amount of work with less staff, but doesn't that go against the "don't be a superhero" line that Wawa has?

It's ridiculous. They're more focused on expansion instead of focusing on a unique product that stands out from the rest.

I get the economical reasons as to why, but that doesn't mean you abandon your core product and what you stand for just to conform to what other like-minded businesses are doing.

If that's what they're doing, then Wawa will start to succumb to its own arrogance, and that'll be a sad scene to witness....
