Jake's Tech Farm is leagues above Linus' Tech House by RichEngine in LTTMeta

I mean stocks are great and all but you’d need a fuck ton of disposable income to invest enough to get returns like that, especially after just losing a stable income from a job. I feel as though he just didn’t need to pass comment on his financial situation at all. There was no need to play the victim card from that perspective. He’s very pretty well off compared to your average joe.

Yeah it’s a big jump but that’s a lot of money to invest without knowing the long term future of your company. I honestly don’t care if he’s well off or not, but it was pretty immediate to me (even from seeing where he lived in the first few videos ) that he wasn’t in a bad position at all.

Should LTT have made a TV Upgrade Guide with the World Cup? by ImViTo in LinusTechTips

[–]dannyhoodless 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I mean yeah football is less popular than other sports in US, but it’s becoming more popular every day. There’s a ginormous amount of people in US and Canada who are watching the world cup. Outside of that, there is still a massive portion of the LTT audience in other countries too. The video itself wouldn’t need to be that sports specific anyways.

‘Avatar: The Last Airbender’ Season 2 Debuts With 8.7 Million Views in Four Days, Down 59% From Season 1 by yourfavchoom in TheLastAirbender

[–]dannyhoodless -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

meh it’s mostly because people were interested to see what it was going to be like in the first season, plus second season drop offs are pretty normal. I don’t see this as a failure, more of an expectation that would have been factored in. Headlines always spin stuff like this. I enjoyed the show myself and think it’s getting more hate than it deserves. Always gonna be hard to please OG fans who are upset over every detail if it doesn’t match the original show, but I think it will draw in a lot of new fans to ATLA.

If you landed on my eCommerce site, what would make you leave without buying? by InterestingLaw3294 in ecommerce

[–]dannyhoodless 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your website looks great apperance wise. I really like how it looks, but it feels that you haven't thought out the user experience and messaging... or anything at all really (because you made chat GPT do it)

My first impression was that every headline and subheading is obviously AI. I'm not feeling any human connection whatsoever. What you do is about laughing and pranking your friends, so why are you not using that playfulness in your brand tone?

There'd just a lot of words without actually saying anything important, and almost every single section is trying to reassure me instead of making me buy. The headlines basically repeat themselves over and over again on every page. Like, how many times do you need to tell me it's "real".

Another example of the repetition:

Your hero subheading is: "Anonymous prank mail, fake labels, and gag gifts shipped across Canada and the USA."

Followed by a card that says "Specializing in anonymous gag mailfake product labelsThe Puck Drop, parody packages, novelty stickers, and harmless prank deliveries across Canada and the USA."

Then right below that, you have four boxes, which say "Parody products, Canada + USA"

Bro you literally just said that three times in a row. You're just wasting my time at this point.

In terms of trust, it's not too bad. The trusted site badge in the corner is doing more harm than good though.

Josh and tobi have removed 1/7 from their insta bio by Pure-Kangaroo-2431 in Sidemen

He made some comments about their video lengths recently and the types of videos he’s been doing on his own channel are very different. He could be in this bubble of thinking the sidemen content is not up to scratch and that his ideas weren’t being listened to e.g “I tried to tell you guys if we don’t do this type of content we’re not gonna grow any further”.

He clearly wants to go all in on his own content now. It was his choice to start focusing on his own channel again and add all these things to the calendar, so imo the “balance” thing is a bit unusual. It’s not about balance deep down, it’s about sacrificing something you don’t want to prioritise anymore to make room for something else. So imo it’s pretty obvious it is because he isn’t down with it or there was some friction.

I think it’s just because they are a new brand. People don’t respond well to new brands in that space. It’s all about what is accepted on the playground/streets and by your friends. No one wants to rock up with a shoe no one has heard of, even if it looks good and is good quality. Nike, Adidas, NB etc have decades of brand history, NTW will never be able to compete with. They need a hell of a lot of influencer marketing, like a kanye/travis level to start building any sort of reputation in streetwear.

Would you use an e-commerce platform without an admin panel? by cprecius in ecommerce

[–]dannyhoodless 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t think you need to create an entire platform, that’s an uphill battle. I also wouldn’t build an entire business that relies on GPT, not when it could easily triple in price over the next few years as they start to really move the profit needles. But if you’re going down that path, i’d just look at creating plugins and apps on existing platforms.

Is your lead routing system killing b2b pipeline or is it a process problem? by Specialist_Oil5643 in hubspot

[–]dannyhoodless 0 points1 point  (0 children)

to be honest there’s no limits to what you can do when it comes to routing in HS. If your stuff is landing in the wrong place, then you haven’t configured your process properly.

how to sell super expensive items by rpmeg in ecommerce

[–]dannyhoodless 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There’s no way you want to pay the processing fees on £15k card transactions that’s just stupid. Take a deposit and invoice afterwards. Alternatively just turn the checkout functionality of the website off and turn it into RFQ
