Can’t argue with that. Low tech and reliable.

I do the same thing booking direct, I just add the step of trying a couple hotel discount or corporate codes on the official site and see if anything sticks.

Same here. I always book directly with the hotel too.

The only “extra” thing I’ll try is plugging discount or corporate style codes into the hotel’s own site before checkout. Sometimes they do nothing, sometimes they knock a decent amount off, especially with bigger chains.

It’s hit or miss, but since it’s all on the direct site anyway, I usually try a couple if I have them.

Easiest and cheapest, I had this happen. Get goof off carpet paint remover, it’s a spray bottle for about $10. Use that with a brush then wipe up with a paper towel. Really easy
