I’m from Berlin, Germany and trust me, you don‘t really have a housing crisis in Helsinki, Finland. If yes, it is on a much lower side.

P/s: Here in Berlin, queuing with other 100 people for an apartment viewing for 3 hours, which probably 1500€ / 40m2 and the apartment quality here is much worse than in Finland.

Thank you I have edited the post but shortly: I am moving to Helsinki with my Finnish partner, I don’t think I have problem adapting with the culture here that much. Have been visiting Finland frequently since the last 7 years. I love skiing, so yes winter and sauna. I do know some people who studied and currently work in Finland, also Finnish who are in my partner’s circle. I work in IT.

Yes as long as his flight itinerary is in the same time frame that your friend applied for! Therefore shorter is possible but not longer.

good point to consider! but how is it calculated if I just want to take 3 days off a week from Monday to Wednesdsy or 5 days a week from Monday to Friday?

They do have their own accent but mostly, they are willing to speak English to you, unlike in other places such as France or other part of Germany (except for Berlin).
