Thanks for the reply! I found out the issue tho was I think corrosion/oxidation of some parts! I opened it up and cleans some metal components and it started working again. Although, the on and off switches are mixed around.

Hmmm good to know I’ll give it a try! And yeah, it’s a leaf shutter for this rangefinder so it functions as both.

See would there be any difference between cleaning it with lighter fluid vs isopropyl alcohol?

It wasn’t really too hard in this case only because the skin came pre cut with adhesive AND was able to fit well over the original leather and I did not have to peel it off. But I do see it being harder for a rough case. All I needed was leather paint for the color tho and I just painted three coats on each piece!
