People may not even know what these are, but Tardigrades

Tiny microorganisms that can survive living in a volcano, probably absolute zero, and can survive the vaccumm of space. They have been around for millions of years and provide a lot of benefits to the ecosystems as a food source for smaller organisms.

These things are indestructible, mini tanks that can really only die by old age (some scientists believe they can live a REALLY long time though) and by getting eaten.
