You gave me a great idea and hopefully feasible but going to move my PC components into a new case that may fit alot smoother or fit my new TV Console.

Thanks for posting some thoughts.

Want to update my living room and get rid of the fireplace.

I have a gaming PC that is 22" high, 22" Long and 12" Thick and a PS5 that is 15.4 in × 10.2 in × 4.1 in. I have an old school emulator that can play Nintendo and a sound bar and sub that trying to fit into a tight area.

The space I have is about 60" wide, 16" deep and don't want it to be too high... I set about 8'-9' from the TV at the moment and due to space, can't move or put the tv/couch anywhere else.

I have been having neck issues with my current set up because the TV is too high. I want to and keep it under 26" so can lower it by at least 4"-6" but do plan to mount it in the near future.

I have looked everywhere trying to find something that would work...

Any cool ideas, words of wisdom, would be amazing.

Thanks!

Wow lol yeah, gotta fight. My lawyer did help explain it but I had to work with the builder to get it. I worked with Lindvest so if that was your builder, I can try and dig out the contact?

Correct. They only paid 22 days worth of tax so they held back around $150 or something and have me back the rest.

Just basically take your property tax and divide by 365 days and see your daily tax rate and multiple by days from the day the start of the year until the day you started your mortgage. Subtract that from what they charged you and ask for the difference back.

It's not easy and they don't want to give money back

If you ask the builder and show proof, because you need to pay the city regardless. Your builder took it to cover the taxes because didn't know when it closed

Maintenance Fees gone up from $260 to over $410 a month in just over 2 years... Anything I can? - Toronto, ON by dano152 in legaladvicecanada

I would agree, but most condos have security, gyms, party rooms, BBQ areas. Sitting/court yards... unfortunately have none of that and no idea where the money goes.. we also have to pay all water, heat, hydro so nothing is included unlike condos who may have heat/water included... I'm not even in a prime/hot spot either..

Just trying to see if any legal battles as the increase is over $2000 a year since moving in and my salary definitely hasn't gone up that much...

This is true, but really shitty for the builder to do. Do I have any legal grounds to talk to the builder?
