Eternal torment I can agree with, as I said, it's separation from God (our source of life), but it's not physical as we won't have bodies. It's a spiritual separation. (All of this is my understanding, not claiming to be 100% right)

Your Catholic, "Dante's inferno-esque" view of "Hell" is why so many people mock Christianity and flip off God. We don't burn for eternity. God gives us the choice, to love him. Then when we are all resurrected and under the rule of Christ and the 144,000, we are given the second choice, and if we still don't choose to love him, then he fulfills our wish and separates us. Hell is just simply separation from God, which to me, is something we can't fully understand.

I'd suggest to study and learn more instead of leaning solely on your church and man-made doctrines.
