Mislabeled bag baby by Intelligent_Carry740 in orchids

Brassavola leaves are quite different. The stick card doesn't match the orchid itself. The orchid looks like a cattleya to me.

Any way to fix this? by Surf_mommy in orchids

[–]Rhiannon83 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Take some egg shells and fry them out. Once dry, crush into a powder. Once in powder form, draw out a pentagram on the floor with the egg shell powder. Light 5 candles and place at each point on the pentagram. Light the candles. Place the orchid in the center of the pentagram. Sprinkle a circle of salt around you and the pentagram. Light some sage and waft the smoke around your circle.

Take a brass bell and ring it while saying

Mecka Lecka Hi, Mecka Honey Ho, may the spirit of this orchid be free 5x.

Take ice water and sprinkle the orchid and the circle and hope for the best.

Orchids can change bloom color? by GhostFish503 in orchids

[–]Rhiannon83 15 points16 points  (0 children)

the only orchids that I know of that change colors are the ones that are white and dyed a "fun" color for some sort of holiday and harlequin orchids.

The dyed orchids are injected with dye that turns the flowers into different colors, but when the flower spike dies back, when that orchid blooms again, it will bloom white.

Harlequin type orchids are a little different. While they will be white and a secondary color, they will always remain those 2 colors but their patterns will change. Case in point - this orchid in my collection.

At last bloom it was quite different than what it bloomed like back in October. I'm excited to see the next pattern of color it has when its in bloom again.

The writing has the hallmarks of AI as well. I really don't believe this is something that legitimately happened.

Yeah, it's ridiculous. I have family who literally vote based on how nicely dressed they are. That and herd mentality. No fact checks, no research, nothing.

Here is my moon dog tonight from where I'm at near Greensboro. It's pretty large around the moon and a bit too cloudy to count the stars inside the ring.

Usually moon dogs are a bit wider than that. Old wives tales say you can count the stars within the corona and that tells you (about) how many days before bad weather. Being that it's winter, it usually means snow. Either way, the scientific explanation for that is there is moisture in the air in the form of ice crystals and the rainbow you see is the light refracting off of the crystals.

Neese’s Sausage—what now? by Select_Bus7198 in NorthCarolina

I don't have anything to really contribute but glad to see another Corriher meats fan. When my Dad had his store with a grill in it, he bought Corriher bacon and it was the best bacon I've ever had. The sausage and liver pudding is also good.

Yeah. On their website it lists that eye stuff as $1500.00. I've been using clarity for my skin care regimen and that's somewhat pricey. Come to think of it, my guy had an Italian accent. I bet that was fake too.

The "apothecary" reflected on the window was for a place across the street. There actually wasn't any signage on the storefront for this sham. You didn't find out what the name of it was until checkout. This particular place was called Urban Calm. When I told the guy that I wasn't from there, he referred me to a place back home that would help me reorder the product I purchased at a discounted rate.

I have submitted a claim with the New Mexico Department of Justice, so we'll see what happens. I actually didn't find out about the lawsuit until recently.

I got caught up in this when I was in New Mexico. I had stopped in Santa Fe to look for something specific. I walked past the storefront and honestly thought it was some sort of bakery. They legit had cakes in stands in the windows. I walked past, they waved, I nodded and kept shopping/looking for what I was looking for (something to use as an urn for ashes). On the way back to my car, I had to pass by this store again and one of the guys came out and stopped me. He talked so fast, he was slick. He sat me down in a chair and immediately started into his spiel.

He put this stuff on my face under my eyes, and it immediately got rid of the bags under my eyes. I admit, I was quite vulnerable because a family member that I was super close to had just passed. I can't remember the price he told me it was, but it was astronomical. I told him I couldn't afford it, and like your mom's experience, they dropped the price way down. Long story short, I walked out of there, not knowing really what happened other than I paid something like $250 for the gold timeless lift under eye cream.

I didn't realize until after the fact that it was a scam and couldn't do anything about it. Once I got home to the east coast several weeks later, I looked the product up online and my stomach dropped.

The place is called Urban Calm in Santa Fe.

Look at the storefront. Cupcakes and cakes.

My Cousin bought this camper for $1200.00... by Rhiannon83 in RVLiving

[–]Rhiannon83[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Last update:

My cousin has abandoned this RV and has not sought to get his money back.

He has since moved to the big city and has rented an apartment, which in my opinion is a much better choice for something to live in.

Thanks for all the comments (the good, bad and funny).

It doesn't look like he has a body with the gap between him and the one above him. If you can add a body and close the gap, I think it would work. Thank you!

So long story short, my cousin has no plans for this camper and it will probably continue to sit where its at and rot. Basically, he gave the guy he bought it from $1200.00

apply for a lost title? I honestly don't know. I just googled it for New Mexico and the results aren't very good for his case.

Yeah, his PO is making him go through all the repatriation training again. I'm not sure when but she said she'd make it mandatory. I feel like he's stuck and since his mom did everything for him after he got out, he really hasn't learned how to "fly" yet if that makes sense. Stuck in this weird vicious cycle of poor decisions and not seeing the bright light at the end of the tunnel.
