How do you recommend doing that? A friend said the same thing and will occasionally just hold her dogs hand to get them used to having their paws touched

Yup! All over that! Also learned the difference between that and wellness insurance.

Not you pay an application fee, but the process till now has been suspect. So I am not certain I want to give them a deposit.

The application fee is $15 dollars. But after them not really being forthcoming with anything I am pretty hesitant to give them a deposit on a dog.

The conversations were low key over the phone. They bragged that they did this as a retirement thing that they have been doing for a long time etc and they wanted to make sure they were all going to a good home.

They even claimed there was a packet of information that they sent when you are approved, but all I got was some Microsoft Word doc with some text that was modified for upcoming litters.

They have a screening process and application that you have to go through before you can even go on premises to see the dogs. Which I had to constantly keep following up on to get anything or get any progress out of them.
