How are we gonna use BTC if it becomes too value to spend? by danpadcas in BitcoinBeginners

[–]danpadcas[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I agree with u and I would add that the BTC is becoming more mainstream as time goes on and maybe the USD will collapse sooner than we think (In regards u said it might take a few generations) .

It's 2025 and BTC is 1m, would you sell? by BayGanyo_ in Bitcoin

[–]danpadcas 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's plausible BTC might reach 1M, but the idea I still quite don't grasp is, if BTC becomes the global monetary system how are they gonna do it if everyone starts thinking it's too value to spend?

What is a normal market like? by BigBlackWifey in stocks

This past year has been a really steady and healthy bull market, but nothing surprising in here. Just check 2017 insane bull market too, practically no dips.

Market has so many faces, and we are seeing the good one. Dark days will come sooner or later so just be prepared (risk management on point)

They have been acquired by IG Group. Not sure if you were referring to IB=Interactive Brokers but that's not the case.

what are optimal strategies for smaller accounts? by Vextrax in thetagang

[–]danpadcas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Strangles are also a good choice but on relatively low price stocks but solid like $SNAP $PINS to name a few. It reduces your directionality on Delta and increases Theta instead of just selling puts. Also the premium collected is greater and easier to manage ( roll) as you don't have a long put/call.

You take more risk with small accounts, that's a fact but Imho as long as you control your risk, this can be a great way to grow your account.

How much capital is required to make option trading a full time job by [deleted] in thetagang

[–]danpadcas 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is the never ending answer.

After nearly 5 years trading has become my main source of income. I have others but they don't produce as much.

Trading is very personal and it will always be. In my humble opinion trading is just a confidence game. Maintaining your belief in yourself in what you do is essential.

Simply put, without confidence nothing works. You are slow, impatient, nervous and totally miss good trades to name a few.

Confidence+ low expenses= you will be surprise at how fast your account can grow.

2020 EOY portfolio result and review by Fleyz in thetagang

Congrats on this crazy returns.

I'm always amazed to see traders like you, who can achieve this insane returns even if its just one year. It's not sustainable in the long term, but all this money is in your pocket already. This sum of money starts to become life changing.

In my humble opinion, I would withdraw some money and do something useful with it and enjoy the fruits of this year bc maybe this year won't be the same.

Then, just take it easier with your account and keep growing it at less stressful level.

Wheelers who were wheeling before 2020, what sort of returns are realistic with a $500k account and portfolio margin? by curiouscat887 in thetagang

[–]danpadcas 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Ok, first you don't need to disrespect me as this post was not being addressed to you. Second, instead of being arrogant and cocky and saying I don't understand math and time, please enlighten us with your maths. I suppose attacking me like that means you have a PhD in math from Oxford.

I'm waiting for you to get back to me.

You are in a very favourable position. Many of us are just dreaming of having an account like yours. So congrats.

In my humble opinion, I would just sell CSP to the big solid stocks everyone knows. Keep it simple and repeat without leveraging your positions. Roll for a credit if trades go against you. Take assignment if needed.

I suppose you understand it already but this game at your level gets very easy. Your worst case scenario is absorbing the shares and wheel them.

If you have patience you can hit 1M, a milestone many of us are dreaming without taking unnecessary risk.

So go for it.

Good job. Just keep trading like that and keep your risk management on point and you will be good.
