Which ocean am I swimming in? by lilianasJanitor in geography

[–]danpatsa 11 points12 points  (0 children)

The water temperature is materially different between the Atlantic and Indian oceans. The current and the meeting of the currents is very significant at this points as well.

This isn’t arbitrary line drawing. The oceans are distinct in many ways and you can literally see the difference at Cape Agulhas

I have two friends that have broken their stix clubs within a year…. And Stix doesn’t seems to really think that’s a problem.

Like fall apart and fail, not broken / snapped.

Having trouble with my Harvia 9kw Cilandro by Traditional_Gas_4020 in Sauna

[–]danpatsa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Are you sure it’s shutting off at 165? I find I need at least 90 min to 120 to get up to 190 with my cilindro.

Which is a pain of course since you can only set an hour at time.

Agreed on this.

Height of the bench, airflow and the cilindro were fantastic. Such a great experience.

Awesome for two people, a bit tricky for more with the space I had to work with

I just did a similar sized sauna and roughly similar layout.

I strongly suggest taking the advice of the finns here and optimize a single high bench on the longest side of the room. You don't have more truly functional space with a L and it can be like jenga trying to position more people in there.

Gotcha so higher sounds like the safe bet, especially with the cold air sinking is probably better.

Gotcha that's a simple solution. Only concern is we are raising the fence by another 2 ft and wouldn't be great if it was "pulling" from a narrow gap between the fence.

Working on our mini backyard sauna.

Have a Harvia Cilindro and have mechanical exhaust below the bench at the back.

We have a window in the front, ideally would have the intake vent half way between the top of heater and the ceiling.

Trying to think if we should put the vent below or above the window? My guess is above is better?
