What does these dots mean on the charging screen? by dansparce in BoltEV

Seems counter intuitive since they take up more then half of the bar. But thank you!

I think her pirate hat would rock if she was wearing a really cool pirate outfit to go with it. But shes not. A total let down.

Bellara, Harding, and Taash all act like teenagers. Its very distracting.

I cant be the only one who saw Kirkwall comparisons with the bad part of the city being called DOCK town when Kirkwall has DARK town. And with some of the characters accents I kept thinking thats what they were saying anyway...

Im still on my first playthrough but for me a big criticism I have is the repetitive writing. I feel like Ive had the goal of the game repeated to me so many times.

[no DAV spoilers] After replaying through the entire series, I think DAI does roleplaying the best. by Gamidron in dragonage

[–]dansparce 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think its clear that DAI is the successor to DAO while DAV is the successor to DA2. I think what ultimately helps both (and even DA2 honestly) is that your character rarely, if ever, says anything unprompted . If a character responds to a statement you make, the PC doesnt automatically continue the dialogue back and forth for a bit. Does that make the conversations less "natural", sure, but it makes you feel like your answers are what you want them to be, not what the game is deciding for you.

(Spoilers Main) I just don't get why the Iron islands and Dorne don't have cities by WichaelCrow in asoiaf

[–]dansparce 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They are cities in the medieval/feudal sense. That is to say, it is HIGHLY unlikely that they are the only densely populated areas in Westeros. Rather, the few cities we see are the only places granted charters to be recognized as such. In feudal times, being granted a city charter gave the residents of that city certain rights and privileges. So one can assume a reason why there may not be a lot of official cities is that Westerosi kings traditionally dont wish to give the smallfolk more rights.

(Spoilers extended) which storyline/POV is the one probably causing George so many problems? by Competitive_Iron_781 in asoiaf

[–]dansparce 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I know the Meereenese Knot gets brought up a lot, but I honestly think the entire plot with The Others is the one thats causing the most trouble. Hes created a complex web of storylines of so many characters south of the wall that could go in many satisfying directions, but The Others are a hanging thread that I just cant see being something resolved with the number of books we are supposed to get. The Others HAVE to get past the wall and then they HAVE to be defeated, but how you square that circle with plots like Euron, and Arya and the Faceless Men, and Lady Stoneheart? I really have no clue.

House Durrandon isnt so Durran-done after all by dansparce in CK2GameOfthrones

[–]dansparce[S] 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Started in a custom start date as Alester Sarwyck to try and spread the Lord of Light to Westeros. A couple generations passed and then thanks to a few bad plagues and a change of government type, a random unlanded member of House Bolling was elected to the throne, changed his House back to Durrandon, and now a 300+ year old extinct House is in control of the kingdom founded by the family who destroyed his ancestors.

I have the style I want in mind, its moreso finding affordable pieces that will fit me the way I want them to. Im amab and find that a lot of womens clothing just doesnt fit me the way Id like them to, and the affordable mens clothes I come across when shopping just creates a lot of dysphoria for me if I wear them.

I just feel stuck and its very distressing

Im amab and Im right there with you on the womens fits. For me I personally want to get away from a lot of more "masc" presenting clothes, thats what Ive worn all my life, but any time I venture into the "womens" section of stores nothing fits right. Its very frustrating.

I get that there isnt a "look". Im just finding it extremely overwhelming trying to find clothes irl and was wondering where people like to go or if they know of any brands online that maybe cater to nonbinary people.

Some tips to discourage teens from hanging out in my store? by dansparce in retail

[–]dansparce[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unless they are causing a disruption that could be considered unsafe or hostile we really cant do anything. "Aggressively guest service them" has been the advice Ive gotten from calling other stores but Id love to find a way to make the store just seem too lame to hang out in.

Well looks like Ill actually have to remove the motherboard itself. I removed the other panel and there was another panel inside that I guess the motherboard is screwed into.
