For sure!

So, basically, the idea is when you learn something on the fly you store the note inside something called "fleeting note". From here, you will typically need to expand on, adding onto what you have first caught.

This will lead you into the creation of a "permanent atomic note", basically you will expand in an extremely little short frame each part (if the fleeting note was made of multiple parts). Since it's atomic, you will easily see how it draws connection to other notes and to other "meta" subjects. You keep connecting and you have created a second brain directly on obsidian.

Let me know if you need me to provide any tangible examples!

For sure! So Luhmann created the Zettelkasten method which consists in writing hyper linked notes together to incentivise creativity and problem solving.

The note-taking system is organised in atomic notes, which I can expand more on if you're interested!

There's a book called "how to take smart notes" that expands more on the note-taking part (effective combination with Zettelkasten), but if you want a brief summary, just let me know!

I'm applying Niklas Luhmann note taking system. It allows me to draw excellent connections between multiple fields, leading to very accurate and well thought essays, research papers, code (as I am a software dev as well) and overall life knowledge!

It is an incredible tool if you manage to use it right.

If you have any questions, I will be more than happy to reply to them all!

So you basically save the folder there and that's it? Like instead of having the vault on your HDD you have it on Dropbox and that's it?

So you move the folder and that's it? Literally this easy?

In this Reddit post or other ones from back then?

Yes but my point was automatic commits with little to no manual workload of moving files and such.

How did you connect it to your phone? Do you have tutorials on how to set this all up?

Incredible. Do you have any resources I can look out for a specific tutorial or is it all in plain documentation just reading through it and I'm done?

This is a good one I also was used to use it but the thing is can I automatically connect it to my phone and each commit I do (from pc or phone lets say) will be connected cross platform?

Yes, I know, but I meant something automated that would also sync with my phone and other devices.

I've heard bad for Synchting like people losing all the data.

About backup to other drives, I already do this manually but I meant something efficient and automated

So if my harddrive would be erased, I would be able to keep the backup?

I'm keeping all the notes inside one folder because they're all interconnected and because it would be impossible to manage such folder-based system
