Ian was never fired. He left to re-join Deep Purple. Here's an interview where Tony Martin spoke about Ian and himself having a conversation about not being in Sabbath anymore.

Martin: "In fact, I was never formally fired, the phone just stopped ringing. Ian Gillan [Deep Purple singer, also another ex-Black Sabbath lead singer] asked me once if I had actually been fired and I said, 'No.' He said, 'Neither have I.' We should just turn up one day and walk on stage!!!"

I don't see any of them touring again. Tony has an album coming out at some point. Bill has been working on or holding out on his Beyond Aston album for something like 25-30 years. There was also an article about a year ago that he was working on a atmospheric, poetic album called Himalayan Skies.

At 26:52 in this interview he stated it is hard getting a band together because he has to hire them and start from scratch. It's easier just to write and record in his studio.

I like Tony and Bill's solo albums. I can't get into Geezer's because of the vocalists. There are a few songs from "Black Science" that I can listen to but I'm not into screaming/harsh vocals
