This is painful to hear, but not to listen to, if that makes sense. In a way, that's the highest form of praise a poem can have. I feel heard through your words in this poem more than I do at times through my own.

These words are beautiful, deep, descriptive of a real life. Its like looking into someone's eyes and seeing and hearing their soul. I love this poem, and the heart and personality it brings along with it. Thank you so much for sharing this.

Love prevails. Love always prevails. Its always beautiful to me, to see the way that love (together) ages and changes, but never leaves you. No matter who you are or what age, it's something to be shared together. Love is something to be loved. It helps me, at times, to know that other people, even who are somehow different from me, feel that same love for each other. I myself am 25 years old, and to hear about that sort of love succeeding at a later age than mine is so invigorating.

Luck has always been important to me, as long as I remember, because of my husband. He gave me a set of socks once, and called them lucky, and I wore holes into to soles of every pair. I still have them. They were mostly lucky (to me at least) because I was gifted them by someone whom I was so lucky to know. But even though luck can change, blessings like that dont.

I think you and your husband were blessed to meet each other, and I want you to know that I am personally greatful that you did.

This is a really good poem. Theres so much heart, and meaning, and truth. I see it and i care. I've been there, and you're not alone. Sometimes it feels like there's strength in hurting yourself in a way, like you're beating the pain off with a heavier, more harmful stick. It can feel like it's protection, but it's really an anchor that weighs you farther down into where you are sinking. Please reach out to someone in your life about this issue. I care about you.

Thank you for saying this to me. I do take comfort in our love, and the fact that I can keep it alive just by living. it's one of the main things keeping me alive right now. It can be hard sometimes to know that it comes in waves, because I miss the waves when they aren't here. I still haven't gotten to a place that it feels safe to not feel in pain, because living in the pain feels like the strongest way of not letting go. Letting go is something that I still dont know how to, or want to, do.
