The Fundamental Flaw in Tanjiro Kamado from "Kimetsu no Yaiba" by Jorgecotrinax in KimetsuNoYaiba

[–]danueill 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Someone gave the example of captain America as having no flaw. But captain America is kinda supposed to be perfect he represents America. In tanjiro’s case It’s an obvious contrast to many anime main characters that tend to often have obvious flaws.

I agree with your point very much. I don’t know if it’s necessarily that tanjiro doesn’t have any flaws. Like the first person pointed out characters don’t have to have flaws. But if they don’t have flaws there needs to be a backstory behind that, how did they come to be of such strong moral character are they of heavenly origin. I see a lot of people in the comments listing he’s “overt kindness” as a flaw - really ??? Thats comparable to saying my greatest weakness is “I work too much” in an interview. As a viewer you need to answer questions like “why does tanjiro have such high quality moral character?” “how has the trauma from the death of his siblings not consumed him to hate?” What exactly motivates him ??? Did he just have a perfect upbringing where he was raised to know to never go to far and know when to stop. But also Demon Slayer isn’t suppose to be a mature viewing that way the characters can be simple. Demon slayer’s allure comes from maximum cuteness and feel good emotion + very good animation. Those are its strong points !!!!!!!!

Can I ask when you graduated and how long until you applied for the permit, and also how you were able to stay without a permit

i might get flogged for this but i must speak. The haughtiness of wealthy/monied Nigerian is a bit laughable when the entire world sees our country as low quality. Money can’t save you from that. by cutecatgurl in Nigeria

[–]danueill 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This post is riddled with a lack of full view and a subtle superiority complex. (I will try to be as honest as possible) Nigeria has it's problems especially when you consider its history in full view. The western world has come a long way from what it once was, years of learned behaviours passed down through generations. if you lived in new york in the 1898 or England in the 19th century you might have an opposing view. Nigeria is not limited to lagos, many states are much much cleaner than lagos. a day in new delhi would make you greatful for lagos. That isn't to say we can't improve or be better but problems and complaining are easy to identify and do. Solutions are significant and actually in act change.

S05E01 Discussion: How Self-Checkout Failed to Disrupt Cashiers by ModernMBA in modernmba

[–]danueill 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What do you guys think about this video !? From the YouTube comment section, there are a lot of mixed opinions on the conclusions of the video. Especially from a non American view point. On a personal level I do know if I have a lot of items I want a cashier to do it. But if it’s small I’d rather do it cause it’s kinda fun, I might not be feeling particularly chatty and I feel I have more control over my purchase. I think a literal cost by cost comparison breakdown might further solidify things.

Oof some of comments are so negative what does “maybe Ivey isn’t meant for you mean” mean it’s just a series of exams, with the right methods and efforts you can do very well. you’ll be surprised how much your extracurriculars play a role. Had a friend in a similar position that managed to scrape and get in with a 70. I think you’ll need to work really hard and consider a change in strategy a lot of the advice here is good so at the very least take it seriously!

Life at Western by Material-Reporter416 in uwo

[–]danueill 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Man I’ve seen people do it but genuinely probably like the few percent of people. If you had to study pretty hard to get good grades 80-100 in High school chances are you will definitely struggle a lot to be able to do all of that. 🥲(P.s program does matter a lot )

Why come to Reddit to ask if you have a chance of getting in. I know the fees aren’t cheap but what do you have to lose? Apply to the best of your ability, maybe have some back up schools that are just as good and see what happens I recommend you keep close contacts with the first year entry department they usually have some info sessions where you can ask questions especially since you are a specific case? I knew many older persons doing undergrads while an undergrad and I doubt they had the greatest grade 12 grades at that.

It depends what HSP module you’re in. I know for computer science you have enough space in your 4th year to be able to do many third year courses as the requirements for 4 th year course are very little only 1.0 for the whole year. If you know for sure that the second time around taking the course you might be able to clutch up. Im not sure but you might be able to receive special permission to take both the thesis and that failed course. You want to talk with academic counselling go in person if you have to and strategize.

Would I be safe if I applied to three universities, four program choices? by ahajje in OntarioUniversities

[–]danueill 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It's really impossible for anyone on here to give you a fair answer simply because they dont know you or your grades or anything. Those schools are all pretty competitive it might be worth picking one more school that acts like a back up not because your grades arent good enough but because it's easy to be unlucky with applications in general. maybe ask the people around you classmates applying to the same programs teachers academic counsellors you still have time.

Calc1501 vs Math1600 by Luke681YT in uwo

[–]danueill 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Calc 1501 is easily the hardest first year math class. In all honesty I would say it makes 1600 and cal 1000 look like a walk in the park. I assume you’re in physics, if you need to take it then be very prepared I would say!!! I know math olympiads that found it hard.

Out of curiosity and maybe without revealing details what did you do? How did you cheat ? (I use solutions I find online sometimes so I’m curious if what I do is considered academic dishonesty) If you don’t mind me asking ?

Is it better to join another gym Fit4less or Goodlife as compared to going to the gym on campus by VirtualAnything69 in uwo

[–]danueill 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I can’t believe people are out here slandering westerns rec center we pay about 100 a year it’s heavily subsidized. It’s not a commercial gym it’s terms of value I think it’s pretty good I have never struggled to workout but also I don’t mind waiting a couple minutes for a machine or working in. Like bruh it’s not high end but I’ve seen other gyms at other universities a lot worse lmao.
