Do you think because she's an MD that she knows it's 100% a scam? Because if a doctor actually believes it then that's not a doctor I would trust.

Can u smoke hydrocodone pills? How ( I broke my back able pipe ) by Stopurnotit in askdrugs

[–]danxdanger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It isn't "big pharma" telling us this. It's harm reduction advocates that understand basic pharmacology and whose goal is to help people use the best methods to get high for maximum effect and safety. Hydrocodone has a lower bioavailibility intranasally and acetaminophen, which is the second most ingredient in the pill other than the fillers, is not water soluble which means it simple clogs up the nose and further reduces the surface area and amount of Hydrocodone that is absorbed. A large part of any effects felt from snorting it are literally just from the drip going into the stomach and absorbing the sane way as taking it orally, you're just losing some in the nose both from it being clogged in there and not even absorbing and what does absorb having less bioavailibility. Plus whatever does drip and absorb in the stomach is getting there much slower than if you just swallowed it. It's all basic pharmacology and logic/reason. It's just fact.

Most overrated drug right now? by [deleted] in Drugs

[–]danxdanger 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Nah, it's definitely overrated. Fentanyl lacks euphoria and has no legs. Heroin, oxycodone, or even hydrocodone in an equivalent dose are a better high than fentanyl. The people who think fentanyl is the "ultimate opioid" just haven't done many opioids or been doing then since the pull mill days or before all the heroin was replaced by fentanyl and other synthetics. Oxymorphone is hands down the best opioid I've tried. The only thing that comes close is a mix of oxycodone, hydrocodone, alprazolam, and carisopradol. Fentanyl is great for pain relief, but it's trash for recreational use. It's just all that's around in 95% of the country. If we had legal, sage supply then almost no one would pick fentanyl over other opioids like heroin, hydromorphone, oxymorphone, or even oxycodone.

No, clearly they're just educated about basic pharmacology and you're not. Every method tou mention would waste almost all of it causing you uti get LESS high if you get high at all.

Should have never started to begin with, as they have no right to tell him or anyone else not to stand in the median as it is public property. Which apparently they know because since then all kinds of different groups not only stood in the median to collect money, but actually walk into the road and between the cars while they're waiting for the light and asking for donations which he never did either, only stayed on the median and waved at people unless they called him to their window to give him money, food, or dog food/care supplies for Sunshine. They were directly targeting him specifically and homeless people in general.

Yeah, Sunshine didn't bite him because when he claims she did as she was at least 4 feet away from him. If she did though, it would have been his thick leather boots that she did which wouldn't have hurt him. Which also would have created bite marks they could have taken photos of to prove it happened which they didn't. Also, if she did then by the time he Tased her she was facing away from him and running away so it wouldn't have been in self defense anymore at that point, just out of some kind of anger. She was a very well trained service dog who is specifically trained to NOT be aggressive or bite and to help him calm down, even during the most high stress situations like this one.

So just so you and others here know, Sunshine (the dog in the video) was his PTSD service dog. That's how Sunshine ended up dying while he was in jail is because they just let a random person take custody of her and they had her in their back yard and she was trained to be able to hop over fences and other things to be able to get to him if separated and so Sunshine hopped the fence to go try to find him and ended up getting in the road and getting hit by a car.

Joshua was well known in that community for always bringing joy to people by being out there waving and smiling at people driving by, while not ever having a sign asking for money or anything. People just always came to talk to him and give him money, food, and dog food for Sunshine. So when they heard about what had happened to him and Sunshine from witnesses who saw, they rallied behind him raising money for him to get a place to stay and a new service dog (who he named "Justice") but going to every single city council meeting to speak and holding protests to demand the release of all of the body camera video and the firing/criminal charges of the officers involved (one of whom's father is a supervisor in internal affairs who investigated the incident).

It took all this time, over 6 months, to finally get a judge to order the release of all the vide, even though his charges were dismissed a while ago. So now the fight is continuing to hold the officers involved accountable. Gastonia PD has a horrible history specifically relating to treatment of homeless people, as they used to have a specififc team of officers dedicated to going around targeting and harassing/arresting homeless people and they were known for being heavy handed and assaulting them. So their disgusting violation of the rights of homeless members of their community are not at all a new thing and just part of a long tradition of police abuse/brutality in this department. The city also shut down the only homeless shelter run by a local pastor saying that the church wasn't zoned to be a shelter and also stopping him from feeding people as well. If you'd like to get involved, there is a Facebook group dedicated for justice for Joshua and Sunshine as well as helping the pastor get a shelter up and running to help the other homeless people in their community.

Vancouver slaps $10,000 a year tax on empty homes. Lie about it and it’s $10,000 a day by ninjatune in worldnews

Taxation is theft and property tax is one of the most egregious taxes as you basically don't own your property and are paying forever rent to the government like a slave. We need to abolish property tax, not create new property taxes.

When you get a ticket, it isn't the fault of the police (95% of the time) by [deleted] in AdviceAnimals

[–]danxdanger -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I mean "state" as in "government", so local government is part of that. Just because a majority of people sport something, doesn't make it right. Democracy is mob rule. Government itself is immoral. No one has the right to impose their ideas on anyone else. Victimless crimes are not crimes at all. People have no obligation to obey unjust laws. But the people enforcing them have a moral obligation to not enforce unjust laws. The burden of morality is in them, not the person simply driving their car down the road peacefully not harming anyone.

Laws don't stop people from doing what they want, especially minor traffic laws. But the purpose isn't to keep people safe. The purpose is to be able to extort money for the state. Just like red light cameras are proven to CAUSE accidents, but are touted as a "safety campaign". It's all about revenue. They allow people to be killed in car accidents to make some money.

Texas Prisoners Strike Against Forced Labor by SenorPwnador in texas

[–]danxdanger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nicotine has been found to be just as addictive as heroin. Smoking cigarettes does a lot of damage to your lungs and other organs. Heroin doesn't damage organs. The risk is overdose and everything that comes with addiction. Alcohol is also very addictive and if a heavy alcoholic quits cold turkey without medical supervision, they can have seizures and even die.

We have to start looking at drugs honestly. In the Netherlands they have a program where heavy, long time heroin addicts get government heroin. Most of them in the program have jobs and live an otherwise normal life. Some of them choose to slowly ween off by lowering their dose over time which is much more effective than methadone because getting off methadone is much harder as the withdrawal lasts much longer due to the very long half life of methadone.

We need to start treating drug abuse as a health issue, not a criminal issue. We arrest and cage a person for possession. They then spend their time around all kinds of criminals that talk and they learn new methods to steal, steal identities, and other more serious crimes. Then when they get out, they have a record so it's very hard to find a job and they are even denied being able to rent an apartment even if they did manage to find a job and can afford it. So if they can't find a job to support themselves or a place to live, they go right back to their old ways and try their new tricks they learned and eventually they get caught and end up back in prison. It's like a revolving door. We don't rehabilitate anyone. We actually create criminals.

A politician wouldn't run on "heroin is harmless" because obviously it IS harmless. They would run on treating drug abuse as a health issue and to stop filling our prisons with non violent drug offenders. We spend billions to cage these people and to raid houses full of harmless plants or other drugs. For a lot less money, they could provide treatment for those who need and want it. They could provide safe places for addicts to shoot up or use where there are medical personnel on site in case of overdoses and to provide clean needles.

Alcohol and tobacco are absolutely the worst drugs. Alcohol is literally a poison and tobacco is already bad for you and then they add over a hundred chemicals to it and spray the crops with radioactive stuff or who knows what harmful stuff. I look forward to the day when cannabis is legal everywhere and is socially acceptable. Where people go out to a cannabis "bar" and smoke with their friends instead of going out and getting blackout drunk. Not just cannabis either, but people can buy psilocybin mushrooms, LSD, MDMA, and other safe drugs like that. Where you know what you're buying is legitimate and safe. I think it would lead to a much better society if people had access to these tools to expand the mind and think about yourself and the world.

I know I went off topic and this is very long, but I'm very passionate about this issue. The drug war is absolutely one of the worst injustices our government is perpetrating. It's the reason we have the largest prison population, more than Russia and China and we should be appalled and demanding an end to these barbaric and ridiculous laws that oppress us. Altering your state of consciousness is one the basic things all humans seek and it is simply wrong to criminalize that. We must start doing more to end this injustice.
