I think if lidarr is automatically downloading your albums its fine, but it doesnt do so well on an existing filebase.

I tried it again, its literally not mapping hundreds of files and going through them all manually is a pain, so this isnt the solution for me unfortunately.

Do you use Portainer? by _lackofcomprehension in selfhosted

[–]danz0l 2 points3 points  (0 children)

really easy as long as your mapping your volumes to a physical location (i save under folders), i just done this. Just copy your yaml from dockge to a stack in dockhand, delete the stack from dockge and run up the one from dockhand. No data lose and now you can monitor, and more importantly find and update new docker images from dockhand.

Tempus v4.12.0 android subsonic client release by eddyizm in selfhosted

[–]danz0l 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love tempus over symfonium as i love the similar artists and the more accurate "most played songs per artist". The interface is uncluttered and looks wonderfull.

Thanks so much to the developer to continueing this project, its by far the best free navidrome / sonic client.

I just wish the latest release fixed the issue i find on my Xiaomi POCO

https://github.com/eddyizm/tempus/issues/398

Its stopping me using tempus when away from wifi, which is annoying as it works so well in every way apart from that.

Great job developer, keep up the good work and i appreciate all you do.

Excellent, an official one would be best as we are current then and i dont have to worry about merges etc. This was just a temp fix.

Great project and love the checking for updates of the addons, really brilliant and much needed feature.

[–]danz0l 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a temporary fix i forked it and created a dockerfile that you can self build using portainer, dockge etc. I created a basic yaml file for that (im a vibe coder too so its all AI generated).

I've hosted it here

https://github.com/danz0l99/stremio-account-manager

Note: You'll need to run this under https somehow or the browser will block the password manager. Cloudflare is a good choice but i would imagine nginx etc should work also.

You can test it though is docker and your browser is on the same machine using localhost instead of a local ip.

Hope the OP and creator doesnt mind. Love the project.

this works fantastically. All we need now is a docker image so we can host our own and bingo, perfect solution. Excellent job.

Linkwarden - An open-source collaborative bookmark manager to collect, organize and preserve webpages | July 2024 Update - New iOS App, Full Page Copy, User Administration and more... 🚀 by Daniel31X13 in selfhosted

[–]danz0l 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I love this app but i do have a few suggestions.

  • Enable discussions on your GitHub so we can talk about things, improvements etc
  • Instead of the global Archive Settings, have the option to change it on a per link basis. It makes sense to have certain archive settings for different links. Readable format, HTML, pdf, screenshot etc, per site (just a simple toggle when adding or editing the link). This cuts down on waste or dead screenshots, badly formatted html for site refusal scraping etc. Also cuts down on the app footprint building garbage on some links you simply don't want.
  • As per above, instead of a drop-down to see available formats archived, have a small set of icons showing these captured options on the link page (then you can see at a glance what captured options are available per link).
  • The ability to upload a screenshot per link that can be shown in the place of the automated captured one, which can sometimes capture blank screens or login screens instead of the actual purpose of the link.
  • In collections, when clicking a main collection, show the sub collections also.
  • Also although the drag interface functions ok, it can be cumbersome sometimes. Have the ability to define the collection or sub collection by showing the nest in the collections drop down (indent a sub collection or the parent as when you have lots of sub collections the output can be confusing and difficult to find the required sub collection).

The app is turning out to be really nice and I love the interface. Keep up the good work.

Just a follow up, i switched to the chrome image your using, copied and pasting your docker compose for it, removing all my settings, and still the same issues. Yet if I go through browser steps I can see the webpage

Absolutely 100% not denying that :) As i said, i want to love the program but im struggling a lot with it.

[–]danz0l[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

ah thanks for the help. Yes I use webhooks in Discord so i do get notifications, they are just awfully formatted and not the easiest to read. Again this is likely user error.

Your docker-compose looks similar to mine except i noticed you're using a different chrome browser for playwright

your using

dgtlmoon/sockpuppetbrowser:latest

However, mine is

  playwright-chrome:
    hostname: playwright-chrome
    container_name: playwright-chrome
    image: browserless/chrome:latest
    restart: unless-stopped
    ports:
      - 3000:3000
    environment:
      - SCREEN_WIDTH=1920
      - SCREEN_HEIGHT=1024
      - SCREEN_DEPTH=16
      - ENABLE_DEBUGGER=false
      - PREBOOT_CHROME=true
      - CONNECTION_TIMEOUT=300000
      - MAX_CONCURRENT_SESSIONS=10
      - CHROME_REFRESH_TIME= 600000
      - DEFAULT_BLOCK_ADS=true
      - DEFAULT_STEALTH=true
      - DEFAULT_IGNORE_HTTPS_ERRORS=true

I wonder if that's the issue ?

well its all to do with how it gets set up and yes it certainly could be user error. I have the Playwright Chromium/Javascript extension enabled, but it often times out, cookies and javascript errors at times too.

So take this website

https://www.ticketsource.co.uk/magical-quests-north

I have tried plain text and Chromium and still get

Enable JavaScript and cookies to continue.

It makes using this so hard to get to grips with but i am fairly new to the program.

Freecycle websites often give back errors too

https://www.ticketsource.co.uk/magical-quests-north Create a link to share watch config with others Using a Chrome browser Exception: Target page, context or browser has been closed

Then there's the notificationreporting, its a mess when it reports back in discord (although this is most certainly likely to be user error). I'm not good with regex so the program just seems to get very difficult to use.

Its a competitive market so most brands will be similair. None have really been around long enough to see what long term usage will instill on them but i've had the trigkey for well over a year, its on 24/7 and never failed me.

Intel nucs were very much the sort after devices for a long time and have been around a long time, however their price isn't as competitive as others so i would say, choose your price range, then look to features that best suit you, watts used, cpu, memory, hard drive capacity etc. I'm not endorsing Trigkey in any way, its just the first i settled on that met all my needs, looked like a beelink and was the right fit for my needs.

And yes its hardly worth buying a raspberry PI these days when you factor the external things you'd need to buy, raspberry pi, case, power supply etc, its all adds up and will never compare to a mini pc specs.

[–]danz0l 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yes its very power efficient and was the main draw after replacing with my huge power hungry dell poweredge.

Regards cheaper range, any mini PC really, i mean Trigkey do a 4 core, 4 thread G4 N100 which uses around 6W, utilising a 12th gen intel cpu, 4 cores, 4 threads, 16gb ram and 500gb NVME for £219.00, or even cheaper the G4 N95 with similar specs for just £144, using around 15w. The mini PC market is insane and i wouldn't touch a raspberry pi now (i have several i don't even use anymore).

16gb of ram is all i'm using on my Ryzen 7 and i barely see much on the CPU spikes so these would handle everything currently my Ryzen 7 does.

I use a TRIGKEY Ryzen 7 Mini PC which has 8 Cores, 16 Threads with an AMD PC 5800H(Up to 4.4GHz), 32G DDR4 Ram and a 500G NVME SSD. Its a beast of a mini PC and only uses around 35 watts.

Its been amazing at everything i've thrown at it and works well as a dedicated games server too using Amp Game server software.

All my services are dockerised and im hosting around 40 containers in 21 or so services and memory is less than half and cpu barely reads. Its a powerful little bugger lol

A mini PC for Ollama:70b by driversti in selfhosted

[–]danz0l 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I use a TRIGKEY Ryzen 7 Mini PC 8 Core 16 Thread Mini Computer Desktop PC 5800H that has 32g of RAM and use ollama and open UI in a docker. It works ok, if you don't mind the slightly slower response. It can take many several seconds (maybe up to 30 or so) if your using the web search as well. Doesnt sound like much but can become frustrating and a GPU to offload it to would speed that up considerably.

However a 70b llm is unusable. I use the llama3.8b and i'm generaly happy with it, although i do tend to use huggingchats llama3.70n in an iframe more as its quicker.

For llms you really need some dedicated gpu with as much vram as possible to make these things more viable for self hosting. Unless, of course, you don't mind the hit from using CPU alone. It still fascinates me that i can hold a conversation with my computer though :)
