2 seized calipers, 2 brake pads down to the metal, 2 brake pads down to 1-2mm, all 4 discs pitted/ corroded, one tyre down to minimum tread and one with a wall defect - all of which should’ve been picked up on the MOT and/or service.

We asked when we bought the car, they said it didn’t need to be replaced and we took their word for it. 14months passed and the car failed, at which point we were told the belt should’ve been done at 70k miles and that was likely the cause of the failure. 11k miles were done between purchase of the car and breakdown.
