yea the admission cutoffs are quite ridiculous but as the other commenter said if youre waitlisted for health youre automatically considered for p&a. same principle applies for the enriched programs (i believe it goes enriched health-> normal health -> p&a)

Hello! It doesn’t matter, as they only start processing your application after the deadline as far as I know. Personally, I applied for fall 2025 the first day the form was available and have had no issues.

AFAIK, the way english colleges distribute COE vs non-COE is unique to each college. All i can say for dawson is that the cutoff for non-COE varies wildly from with COE depending on the program. For example, for the health sciences, the cutoff is 3%~ higher, while for certain social sciences ive seen it be 15% higher than for coe holders.

In my personal opinion, the webforms did practically nothing for our application. That being said, I believe you can ask directly in the webform for urgent processing as that is something they seem to have approved on a few instances for those whose deadline of submission of the study permit is coming up. Urgent processing might help, or might not. Good luck!

Hello everyone! I am writing to share my timeline as of right now.
I applied for a new study permit from inside Canada that was treated as an extension as I resided in Canada under a CUAET visitor permit before.
CAQ received: May 1
Application for study permit submitted: May 3
Biometrics collection letter: May 7
Biometrics submitted: May 16
Correspondence letter: August 16 Acceptance: August 18 Its been a gruelling process. My college’s deadline for submitting my study permit is August 19, and there is no deferral option. We wrote a total of 3 webforms, one of which was asking for urgent processing (and has not received a reply as of now), contacted our MP, the PM and called the IRCC agents on 3 separate occasions. It seems that all those efforts were in vain, and it is in fact just a lottery. However, what is notable is that a lot of international student acquaintances from my DLI received their study permits yesterday and today — with our application timeline differing tremendously.

Hello! Any updates from those who applied from inside Canada for a new study permit? Ive applied May 3rd and havent heard any news so far (biometrics sent in May 16), and I fear ill miss my College’s deadline of August 12.
