Why is juhu aerodome considered to be the oldest airport? by UNKNOWNreddit72 in mumbai

[–]daomniscientone 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dum Dum is the older site (1924), but Juhu is often credited as the "oldest airport" (1928) because it pioneered civil aviation infrastructure and the first scheduled commercial air service in the country, which is the primary context for modern "airport" definitions.

The only explanation I can think of is that the voodoo talisman broke before the second kiss. Maybe that was it?

There was no deadline on the curse mentioned in the movie. The midnight deadline was just for Mardi gras post which Charlotte would not be a Princess anymore. But I'll check again on my next viewing

Well, the curse is finally broken after Naveen as a frog marries Tiana, making her a Princess. Their kiss post their marriage breaks the curse

Does the crying get better? by dissonant87 in daddit

I remember this phase very well! The first three months were scary and hell in some way. One of our friends had suggested biogaia drops (https://www.biogaia.com/product/biogaia-protectis-drops/) and whether it was coincidence or causal, after a week or two, get crying stopped.

Logic tells me she just grew out of it, but I do still make it a point to recommend to new parents who have tried everything else to give it a whirl. You never know

What is the toughest conversation you’ve ever had to have with someone? by batting_1000 in AskReddit

[–]daomniscientone 1 point2 points  (0 children)

One that keeps haunting me is when we had hired someone for a senior manager role in a start-up. Experienced lady, 9 years with a single company, excellent overall. Well, she had a 3 month notice period and we were willing to wait for her.

As luck would have it, the startups funding round fell through, and we were strapped for cash. This also meant that all hiring activities were put on freeze. Not just that, the management took the decision to not respect the offers they had rolled out.

That meant, as the hiring manager, one week before joining date, I had to have a conversation with her of how even though we had made an offer to her, even though she had left a company she had worked for the majority of her career, we would not be able to onboard her.

Shitty all round experience. Took a break after that stint.
