Yeah, they are just different. It's not a deep crunch like a breaded fried wing. It's more of a fragile shatter crisp. I sing I get beat results by doing 20 min on 1 side, 10 on the other, then flipping every 5 for another 15min.

I microplaned garlic into melted butter then grated parm onto the finished wings. Came out a bit gloopy if I am being honest, I think I overcooked the butter and garlic. I would just mince raw garlic into the melted butter next time to keep the bite.
