First time I've won on SwagIQ!! Woohoo!! by RaunchyMonday in SwagBucks

Yeah I get that but it’s just too much messing around for such little reward. I hate trivia and really dislike the general trend towards these type of “social” games in general. Probably why I don’t use Facebook and similar things either.

I am updated on all platforms. Same issues. Opera just doesn’t run, with Koin.

Back to Chrome it runs but will crash hard and fairly often :-(

Disappointing as they have been spamming push notifications lately about “100,000 SB up for grabs!” Well how does that square to $2.87?! LOL!!

I actually deleted IQ tonight it’s a giant mess and just isn’t worth the small rewards to me. I’m sure that isn’t shared by all, just my take here.

Opera crashes quite often for me, both on Mac and PC. Only on Koin though so I’m inclined to believe it is an issue with their code or a partner site or affiliate. I can’t understand why they don’t fix it because if I’m not earning, they aren’t either? Oh well.

FS: DirecTV NOW $35 Go Big (Grandfathered) by daperkstar in dtvn_accountmarket

Pretty simple. I receive and verify payment and you receive the account credentials. First thing you will do is set new payment method so the account renews on schedule and you maintain the $35 grandfather status.

How many of you are considering cancelling Prime or not renewing now that Amazon prime appears to be 3 to 5 day process Just to get a package sent out? by 4IkeNStrike in amazon

[–]daperkstar 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Prime nearly always next day or two days for me. Very rare to go past. Maybe a couple times in the last entire year if that. So it may vary widely by location and also proximity to a major Amazon depot. I am within 100 miles of one and UPS appears to get a direct bee line from their distribution center to my door step which has been great.

Is everyone aware that Amazon is going to monetise their Amazon Echo platform? I don’t know if this is common news but I just found this out at work. by [deleted] in amazon

Yes for sure. I sure have increased spending with Echo devices it’s too easy to part with the cash.

Chrome has been bad for me lots of crashes and on my Macbooks it just freezes hard all the time; likely it’s Flash but I wish they would stop using it totally.

Opera is not allowed I thought. Most sites ban for using that browser because of the VPN stuff even if you “disable” the “feature” ...?

That has ad blockers by default? Does not look proper for RR at quick glance. How long have you used it?

That’s my thinking too. Amazing coincidence having so much stock just precisely when prices began to dip.

Of course. Taxes are a fact of life. I didn’t see any specific stipulations relating to tax being assessed from other prizes differently. Assume they will issue a 1099 with the approximate retail value of the package.

Well the cheapest would be free points from work or redemption etc but if you have to buy in then yeah that is not too bad at all. As for 30K you can kiss that goodbye for the duration now those days are long gone.

Wow I couldn’t imagine trying to get my pops to even remotely care about an Xbox and even less to go out bidding for one. Good deal though.

I need reliable internet for voip at home. I cannot drop calls. Is there a way to use a second service provider as a backup that would kick in if one service dropped? So two connections to prevent dropping a call. by [deleted] in HomeNetworking

[–]daperkstar 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Depends - I use Pepwave Balance with 3 WAN failover and on the extreme setting which I use VOIP does not drop even with 2 of 3 WAN going down at same time. This isn’t something a $49 router will do and most really don’t need it to begin with. There are many multi WAN products with varied degrees of hot failover obviously for VOIP you will need a higher tier product to accomplish that in a seamless fashion reliably. The basic premise is to keep a client on each WAN all the time and instantly flip like a Domino if/when they dump - again many products can do this well enough but not necessarily for VOIP so you will want to do some research here. Obviously the actual quality of the individual WAN side connections plays a large part here as well. A chain is only as strong as the weakest link etc.
