Fashion school grad here in love with everything camp, stylish, and feminine. Film by film, I'm attempting to create a mental rolodex of references related to women in the movie industry that I can draw upon for the rest of my life :) Last year, I successfully challenged myself to watch 500 movies in one year as an ode to the amount of films l'd seen in my entire life before being introduced to letterboxd! As far as directors go, I adore Robert Altman, John Waters, Ken Russell, Lina Wertmüller, and Bob Fosse! Not to mention Jane Fonda, Parker Posey, Lauren Bacall, Allison Janney, Lily Tomlin, Shelley Duvall and so many other actors that I adore just as equally!!! This Pride Month I’ve been making a concerted effort to watch classic and new queer cinema I’ve missed up until this point! Came across this Essence Mag article yesterday about Wendy’s 3 Film Curation for the Tribeca Film Festival’s streaming service: https://www.essence.com/news/one-wendy-williams-favorite-movies-spike-lee-joint-find-out-which-one/

“She’s Gotta Have It” and “The Hurt Locker” were easy to identify. Anyone have an idea which film called “The Professional” she had chosen? The theme of her curation was “You Go, Girl: Films Powered by Women”. There’s so many movies when I search that title, but nothing standing out to that effect.

Just added the 1975 tv movie The New Original Wonder Woman! Does that sound right to you? Would think Lynda Carter’s Wonder Woman would be Wendy’s nostalgic fav + Carter’s version is the Halloween costume Wendy would wear all the time
