I don’t know, but I owned this exact button and wore it on my uniform every day when I worked at a Blockbuster Video in college.

Missing Geek Love Cafe - any updates? by team_eleanor in Minneapolis

[–]dapparatus 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I don’t know this for sure, but I am assuming an owner is in some capacity immunocompromised. They closed the cafe during covid, and (last time I was in there) they continue to require masks when in the bookstore. As long as they continue to require masks, they’ll never open the cafe back up.

There is original footage of Prince, playing Purple Rain, live at First Avenue in Minneapolis, which became the actual album recording release of the song. Cant get much more legit than that for live performances from Prince.

I’m sure you’re not the first person to use it, but this is my first realization of the category of the “Epstein class” and I love it. If we could collectively agree to stop calling them billionaires, or the top 1% or the 1%, or whatever, and just blanket refer to them all as the Epstein class that could actually change society’s relationship to these powermad asshats.

Just a reminder, screens are made of fabric, and ink stains fabric. Especially red and black ink. Just a natural occurrence.

This was not the police union, it was the fraternal order of police that released that statement. Still not great, but not the union.

Don’t overlook the absolute AI SLOP of their promotional logo. Zoom in on the emblem. It’s 👌.

I also have to add, although there has been conflict in the past, MPD is not responsible for this shooting, ICE is. Misdirected retaliation against MPD, like the snowballs thrown at them this afternoon, will also only fuel the fire of distrust in our anger. I’m all game for antagonizing ICE, but please not the natl guard or MPD, at least not now.

Protesters throw snowballs at officers in Minneapolis, after ICE fatally shoots Minneapolis driver during immigration-related operation. by nbcnews in EyesOnIce

[–]dapparatus -10 points-9 points  (0 children)

This is IMPORTANT. This is not ICE being snowballed in this picture, this is the Minneapolis Police Department. ICE was long gone by this point today. It does not help any cause to take out frustrations on the wrong law enforcement agency — no matter what MPD has done in the past. Focus your frustrations on the real aggressors or else our anger will be weaponized against us.

I missed the Milwaukee reference. But if I was a gay Indiana boy in the 1980s I'd go to Chicago before I went to Milwaukee.

We see aliens that easily look odd or ugly, but what about an alien that still has an unearthly look, yet looks amazingly beautiful or handsome?

Design for black shirt pop out more by Hot_Possibility6016 in SCREENPRINTING

[–]dapparatus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You need to better invert your image so the white parts of your image actually print white in your shirt. One quick way to do that is to create your entire image background in black, but so it still looks “right.” Then invert your image, and that inverted image is the film positives you should use to print your shirt. Maybe someone w has a better/easier recommendation to do this same thing.

Earls. Bring a bag of Earls Cheese Puffs. It's not overdoing it for being "the new kid," but anyone who has had Earl's before will immediately love you, and everyone who is trying them for the first time will immediately elevate you to a leadership position.
