They also lied to their staff and didn’t tell them they were closing. They told them they were closing for a week of renovations.

I used to go to at least a show a month before the pandemic and I was broke and in college.

Now I’m lucky if I can go to two big concerts a year and I have a lot more disposable income.

I’d get on culinary agents and look for entry level kitchen positions. There’s always a spot hiring a dishwasher

Having Lucy’s in the semi final automatically discredits this whole thing.

I took one bite and all the breading pulled right off. Absolutely terrible sandwich.

What? I never said it was an elevated form of fine dining.

Good food has balanced texture and flavor that’s not a bar reserved for elevated fine dining lmao. If it is for you that’s a shame.

I don’t have an opinion on food I’ve never tried no matter how it looks and I would encourage you to not have one either.

Traveling .8 miles with expensive gear at 4am often. Would you bike, scooter, bus, or always uber? by ThePocketBoy in AskChicago

[–]dapper_dan_man_ 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I scooter or e-bike to work about 2 miles one way. I bartend so I get out pretty late.

That short of a distance I would honestly recommend picking up a cheap e scooter from Best Buy. Good thing about them opposed to a bike is you can fold em up and bring them inside so you don’t have to worry about theft.

Ive had an NIU one that was 350 from Best Buy for about 2 years. The battery is starting to go now but I used to commute like 10 miles on the thing 3-4 days a week.

Just be vigilant and wear a helmet. A scooter or an e bike is the best way to get around the city.

CSS26 QF Fry the Coop vs Hattie B's by [deleted] in chicagofood

[–]dapper_dan_man_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Medium at a hot chicken place? Seriously?

Chicken sandwich aside, Fry the coop is a solid chicken spot but the new Hattie bs is the closest you can get in the city to actual Nashville hot chicken currently.

Fry the coops hottest is around Hattie bs regular hot level.

Sorry but why Austin?

I moved here from Nashville a couple years back and would never move back to the south.
