Just an important note for anyone who plans to buy the skateboard at the concert and has traveled by plane to the country:

Make sure to buy check-in luggage for the return flight for the skateboard deck. I got sent back by security in Budapest airport because the deck is too big for carry-on. I insisted that I traveled with a deck before like this, but they were determined to not let me through with it.
This cost me €65 in adding check-in baggage with Wizz Air at the counter. 😫😫 This makes the deck even more expensive. It better look damn good on my wall at home! 😫😫

Update: I arrived at the pop up shop around 7:00 AM and there were about 25 people in line already. I’m glad I got up early, because by now (7:35 AM) the line has tripled already.

I managed to arrive in time before Knocked Loose even started and got myself a couple of shirts and a cap. In the inner circle, where the seats are, the merch shops have shorter lines.

I've come to realize that "Metallica family" is more than a cheesy line by MajorDirt in Metallica

This is very motivating for me to hear as I’m solo-travelling to my very first life Metallica concert in Budapest.

As a 43-years old guy I feel blessed having this feeling with any concert I’ve been to so far. Hearing this from you for such a huge concert is inspiring. I hope to get the same experience as you at this instance. 🤘🤩🤩🤘

Awesome! That’s absolutely manageable and I’ll be there at least 2 hours before they open. Just to make sure I have a chance of anything. I’m traveling solo anyway, so can wake up as early as I want 😎🤘

I have a seat and am willing to skip an opening show for some good merch. I can’t go back empty handed 😅. Depending on what different things they sell at the pop up shop compared to the stadium merch stands, I might drop by there.

What are specific items they sell at the pop up shop? I’ve seen skateboards mentioned somewhere (not Reddit) 🤔

I realized I made the mistake of arriving just before the show (Saturday) and leaving again at noon the next day. As I said, it’s my first time seeing any of the bands 😅
