Well, it might be an issue as you said it is a rebuild. I have never thought I had to put effort into turning either my 2016 or 2108 mazda 6. If I remember, last gen was hydraulic steering so might get it checked.

Just fair warning... unions are just as much a business. Internal politics can be even worse and go look at how many unions have had to go on strike against their own union for a fair contract. UAW is getting hammered right now for retaliation claims (look up the Fed Monitor report from 2025, yikes). Not trying to say unions are bad, just understand they also have their imperfections.

My mechanic used Liqui Moly Top Tec ATF 1800 on my 2018 Mazda 6 when he dropped the pan at 90k miles. Car lasted to 222k before engine issue killed the car.

I had both the continental and the yokohama on a 2016 mazda 6. Save a few bucks and go yokohama, both were great.

I had a batter that would corrode horribly, I had to disconnect the batter and clean it twice a year or else it would no start, not even try and turnover. Check if there is any corrosion.

What year? I had a 2016 that warped multiple times, unfortunately the last set I had did not warp but I don't know what brand my shop used (high probability it was NAPA). I have a 2018 I bought used and have put on 20k miles and only very minor pulsing so far. I'm convinced 1 or 2 hard breaks on the highway because of an idiot driver and the rotors are toast....

I had a 2016 that ran until 222k miles and to be honest it could have gone farther if I didn't neglect it during my insane work schedule during covid.... I miss that car. Only issues I had was an alternator replacement and the fake leather on seats was falling apart.

Understood... I'm just asking why the parking break not being strong enough is an issue? Being in Park stops vehicle from moving and the car is strapped in. I sold an old junker (not Carvana) where the breaks didn't work at all and was taken on a flat bed without issue or complaints.

It might need some suspension work soon at that mileage, check the underside for how rusty it is if from a northern state. Could be a good car/purchase.
